Now that RINO Rep. Liz Cheney has torched all her bridges with Republican voters in her home state of Wyoming, she has set her sights on the state of Arizona, where she says she will do “everything” she can to defeat the incredibly popular, Trump-endorsed Republican candidate for governor, Kari Lake — including campaigning for a Democrat.
Speaking “one one one” at the closing keynote event at the Texas Tribune Festival in uber-liberal Austin, Cheney bluntly stated, “I’m going to do everything I can to make sure Kari Lake is not elected.”
When asked by Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith if that includes campaigning for Democrats, Cheney responded, “Yes,” to a round of enthusiastic applause.

Does that include campaigning for Democrats?

Cheney has been courting the support of Democrats since her role on the Jan. 6 House committee made her persona non grata among America First Republicans, but this is the first time she’s expressed a willingness to actually stump for them, according to NBC News.
But when you see “election deniers” around every corner, what’s a dismissed, soon-to-be-unemployed, widely disliked Republican supposed to do?
For Cheney, the answer is clear: Bash as many from the party as possible, before she’s shown the door in January.
Virginia Governor Glen Youngkin almost escaped her wrath, but then he went and endorsed Kari Lake.
“He’s demonstrated that he’s somebody who has not bought into the toxin of Donald Trump — but he campaigned recently for Kari Lake, who’s an election denier, who is dangerous,” she stated in Texas.
“That’s the kind of thing we cannot see in our party,” she insisted. “We cannot see an accommodation like that, and I think it’s very important that we be clear about that.”
Lake’s popularity among the dreaded “MAGA Republicans” has made her the target of endless attacks from the left — and, with the scorn of Cheney, the wannabe left.
With endorsements from MAGA powerhouses such as Ron DeSantis, Lake and her supporters have even been accused by MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross of “toxic masculinity” — a clear example of how absurd Democrats are willing to get to push a narrative.
“They want some of that white-man power,” Cross stated.

And, while ludicrous and without any evidence to support their claims, it seems the smear tactics may be having an effect.
According to FiveThirtyEight, as of Friday afternoon, Lake’s opponent, Katie Hobbs, is leading Lake by two points — certainly not a blowout, but the race is clearly neck-and-neck.
Youngkin, who believes the 2020 Presidential election was totally on the up-and-up, defended his support of Lake at the Texas Tribune Festival on Friday.
“I am comfortable supporting Republican candidates,” he said, according to NBC. “And we don’t agree on everything. I have said that I firmly believe that Joe Biden was elected president.”
But according to Cheney, “partisanship has to have a limit.”
And that limit appears to be reached whenever someone disagrees with Cheney’s views — especially when it comes to views on former President Donald Trump.
Also on Cheney’s chopping block is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who didn’t condemn Trump to her liking following the events of Jan. 6.
According to Cheney, should Republicans regain control of the House in November, McCarthy should not become House Speaker.
“I say that because the Speaker of the House is the second in line to the president – the presidency – after the vice president,” she explained. “And at every single moment when our time of testing came, and Kevin had to make a decision about what he was gonna do, he’s made the – politically easy for him, or the – politically expedient decision instead of what the country needed. And I think that somebody who’s gonna be that close to the presidency needs to be somebody who’s faithful to the Constitution.”
Online, few feel Lake has anything to worry about from Cheney.
According to one Twitter user, “She can help Hobbs lose by 40 points too!”
