MAGA-world warns Biden of the All-American ‘threat’ they pose to ‘the very soul of this nation’

You know that tear-jerking scene in all those movies where first one brave person, then another, then a whole sea of people step forward in solidarity and make everyone realize the moral lesson of the otherwise unjust story? Well, that scene is playing out right now on Twitter, as conservative after conservative defiantly claims, “I am a threat to the very soul of this nation” in response to the most divisive, insulting, violent speech ever given by a sitting U.S. President.

If President Biden thought he’d rescue the “soul of America” by calling half of its citizens a backward, dangerous threat to her survival, someone should have stopped him.

Objectively speaking, it’s difficult to know what he was trying to accomplish. He certainly wasn’t going to gain for his party any support in the upcoming midterm elections from the people he was passionately demonizing. Nor was he likely to gain votes from independents or libertarians, who were predictably mortified by the dystopian display of hate.

And let’s face it: Even most Democrats aren’t comforted by a president who ignores inflation, crime, an invasion of illegal immigrants, and looming food and energy shortages to call his political opponents ugly names.

But no one could have predicted the powerful message conservatives would send, simply by repeating Biden’s claim and sharing a few details of their lives.

And it started with a single tweet.

“I go to work. I work hard. I go to the gym. I hunt. I fish. I spend time with friends and family,” shared one American. “I pay my taxes and don’t break the law. I play disc golf.

“I am a threat to the very soul of this nation.”

The floodgates were thrown open, and one after another, users shared similar stories and made the same defiant statement.

“I work 45 + hours a week,” tweeted another user. “I give my best effort all day every day. I pay my bills on time and pay my taxes. I give to charity. I believe in God, family, and small government. I am a threat to the very soul of this nation.”

U.S. veterans stepped forward.

“I worked and paid my own way through college,” a user tweeted. “I’m a USMC veteran. I attend mass every Sunday and volunteer to help various community causes. I’m retired after 30 years as a coach & teacher. I pay my taxes & have never been arrested. I’m a threat to the very soul of this nation.”

And the tweets weren’t coming from the white supremacists Biden has repeatedly warned the nation about.

“I’m a retired, Baby Boomer, female, LE officer of Spanish & multi ethnic descent,” a user tweeted. “I ✅ all the 📦 of identity politics, yet consistently vote against my own self interest, because there is no free lunch & the bills always come due. I am a threat to the very soul of this nation.”

And they weren’t coming from a bunch of sanctimonious homophobes.

“I’m a gay man. I have a black husband. I drop my kids off at school every morning. I play cards with my senior mom. I go to church every Sunday. I have always paid my taxes and work everyday,” a user shared. “I vote Republican. I am pro-life. Am I a threat to the soul of this nation?”

The tweets came from grandparents and teachers and nurses.

They came from people who don’t fit into Biden’s narrative: Hardworking, family-loving Americans from all walks of life who want to see the nation’s tarnished image returned to one of prosperity for all its citizens.

And despite the Biden administration’s best efforts, they came from people who won’t be easily typecast in the president’s Orwellian vision of America.

God bless America!
