Major news outlets admit to possession of hacked info from Trump campaign, but have not used it

None of the media outlets who were sent hacked content from former President Donald Trump’s campaign have published the content yet.

As previously reported, a hacker obtained internal documents from the Trump campaign and then distributed them to at least three major news outlets: the Washington Post, the New York Times, and Politico.

But amazingly, none of the outlets, all of them left-wing, have published the hacked content, raising the question of why not.

“Instead, Politico, the New York Times, and the Washington Post have written about a potential hack of the campaign and described what they had in broad terms,” as reported by the Associated Press.

According to the Times, the hacked documents include “research about and assessments of potential vice-presidential nominees, including Senator JD Vance, whom Mr. Trump ultimately selected.”

“Like many such vetting documents, they contained past statements with the potential to be embarrassing or damaging, such as Mr. Vance’s remarks casting aspersions on Mr. Trump,” the Times reported.

Is that why they haven’t published the hacked content? This reason seems unlikely, critics say, given the leftist media’s 24/7 rush to attack the Trump campaign, especially during this election cycle.

Some suspect the media is purposefully holding onto the hacked documents for now but plan to slowly start releasing their potentially damaging contents the closer Election Day 2024 looms.

Brad Dayspring, a spokesperson for Politico, said for his part that the editors at the outlet had judged that “the questions surrounding the origins of the documents and how they came to our attention were more newsworthy than the material that was in those documents.”

Delusional leftists meanwhile stunningly think the media are purposefully refusing to release the documents because they’re on the side of Republicans, which is a ridiculous allegation.

But to defend this outrageous and easily debunked premise, leftists have taken to screeching about the notorious Wikileaks hacks of former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Regardless, it’s now known that the hacker had also sought to hack President Joe Biden’s now-defunct presidential campaign.

“The FBI says it’s investigating efforts to hack both the Trump and Biden campaigns,” MSNBC’s Jonathan Lemire reported Tuesday. “A source familiar with the matter tells NBC News the investigation includes attempted hacks targeting three Biden campaign staffers, as well as Roger Stone, a former adviser to Donald Trump.”

“This comes after the Trump campaign said on Saturday that it had been hacked, and suggested that Iran was involved in stealing and distributing internal vetting documents on Senator J.D. Vance, Trump’s now running mate,” he continued.

Lemire further noted via the Washington Post that the FBI has been investigating since June and has suspected Iran of being behind the attempted and fulfilled hacks.

The Trump campaign has for its part responded to the hack by urging the left-wing media to not publish any of the hacked content.

“Any media or news outlet reprinting documents or internal communications are doing the bidding of America’s enemies,” campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said over the weekend.
