In case you haven’t noticed, the liberal media is fall-down drunk on the prospect of locking former President Donald Trump up for the rest of his life, but they’re not so pleased with the martyr status to which his Fulton County mugshot has officially elevated him. The quandary has already made for some on-air moments that would be hilarious if they weren’t marking what is arguably one of the darkest times in American history.
Take, for example, CNN’s Brianna Keilar, who on Friday guest-hosted “OutFront.”
Keilar, with a straight face, wanted to know if Trump’s self-reported weight was of any “material value” to his politically motivated prosecutors.

As the world now knows, Trump was fingerprinted and photographed for an instantly iconic mugshot on Thursday at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia.
As part of the intake process, Trump said he stood at 6’3″ and weighed 215 pounds.
The left immediately seized on those numbers, because, with the U.S. Constitution in the middle of a metaphorical cardiac arrest, that’s the kind of petty game the left seems to live for.
Both of these guys are allegedly 6’3″ and 215 lbs.

Good morning, folks! We all know Trump lies every waking hour and not just about his weight being 215 lbs. pic.twitter.com/zWAWsxN8f1

Keilar, in an interview with attorney Ty Cobb who served in Trump’s White House, was all too happy to make her stand on the progressive playground.
“So, Trump is now the first former president with a mugshot,” Keilar said. “Our sources say that he wanted to appear defiant in his photo, that he put a lot of thought into this. He chose not to smile. And that was obviously very purposeful here. Jail records listed him as 6’3″ and 215 pounds. Those are numbers that were self-reported. What is your reaction?”
And Cobb, it appeared for a moment, was all too happy to join her, turning the prosecution of a sitting president’s greatest political rival into a childish joke.
“Well, I noticed he didn’t include his 40-yard dash time and make it in the 4.3 range,” Cobb replied with a laugh. “So, I’m glad he could hold on that. But 215? No way.”
But, being a hard-hitting CNN anchor, Keilar wanted a harder-hitting answer, so she pressed Cobb to try again.
“What do you think about, though?” she asked. “Does that have any material value if you believe that he is not telling the truth?”
Even Cobb wouldn’t jump that shark.
“No, no, not really,” he said. “It’s just another insight into Trump’s psyche and how driven he is by whatever facts that he can get out that he thinks will make him more appealable to others.”
On X, many saw Keilar’s line of questioning as more of an indictment of the mainstream media than they did the GOP primary frontrunner.
“This is insanity,” said one user. “The level of Trump hate is maniacal.”
