Mark Ruffalo warns Elon Musk could manipulate voting machines — Musk responds with laughing emojis

Actor Mark Ruffalo is jumping on the election security bandwagon with a recent message to Democrats.

Despite trying to convince voters that Republicans are unnecessarily worried about the security of elections in the United States, it would appear that a contingent of leftists is also concerned. During a “Hands Off Our Vote” event in New York City, Ruffalo warned the Dems may “need to be on guard” in the upcoming midterms.

Watch:

“We need to be on guard for what we may not see coming – Elon [Musk]. That’s the cybersecurity of these elections,” he said. “And while I’m not an expert, I’ve been talking to experts. And the one thing I’ve heard repeatedly is that there is a vulnerability of the votes when they’re transferred from the polling places to the county headquarters and then to the states. Now that’s three times those tallies are being transferred over the internet, over the wire, over our phones. We know that these systems are vulnerable.”

Who else is old enough to remember when that kind of rhetoric would get you labeled a conspiracy theorist and mocked on MSNBC?

X users couldn’t wait to weigh in on this clip, especially Elon Musk:
