Mary Trump says GOP voters are ‘anti-human,’ ‘anti-American’ and ‘want me and people like me dead’

Mary Trump’s only relevance in the political realm is that she is related by blood to former President Donald Trump and is willing to trade on that relationship, understanding that hating on her famous uncle sells well on the left.

As for her motivations, be it deep-seated family insecurities or her own liberal values, few people care, but as volatile as our politics have become since Trump walked down the Trump Tower escalator, one thing is certain — Mary Trump knew what she was bargaining for when she opted to trade trash talk about the family for attention.

Not that Trump’s niece won’t use that to her advantage as well, as seen last week when she told SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah that the former president’s supporters “all want me and people like me dead.”

Proving her liberal bona fides, Mary added that all she wants is for them to “have health care.”

Parroting the talking points of those still willing to give her a platform, which includes demonizing Republicans, Mary went there in spades by calling Trump voters “anti-human.”

“There are tens of millions of our fellow citizens who are absolutely anti-democratic, They’re anti-American, and they’re, they’re basically anti-human,” she said. “I mean, I always think of it this way. They all want me and people like me dead. I just want them to have health care. You know, it’s like, that’s the contrast.”

The remark coming in the aftermath of President Biden’s campaign to paint Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans as “a threat to this country.”

Of course, any self-respecting liberal is going to jump on the victim train, and Obeidallah did just that.

“That’s so funny,” he said, in response to Mary’s claim some people want her dead. “I should respond to people who send me hateful emails and go like, You know what? I get your anger, but I just wish you health care. You know, I wish, you know, deductible on your insurance. I wish you, you know, whatever kind of benefits of the government that you need.”

The discussion was taking place in the heat of a contentious Republican battle over the election of the next speaker of the House, which is now controlled by the GOP.

Mary Trump offered her uninformed opinion on events — an opinion that only matters because of who her uncle is — by employing inflammatory rhetoric against the conservative faction holding out on supporting now-Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. — their crime being that they want to do something, anything, to counter the reality that Congress is broken in every sense of the word.

“We need to figure out the people who continue to vote for these people because who, who votes for Matt Gaetz and thinks that’s a good idea?” she said. “Especially when it means putting these arsonists in charge of our government. And we see how that’s going. So I’m, I’m so angry. I’m —  it’s exhausting to be angry all of the time.”
