Michelle Obama reportedly rakes in $741,000 for one-hour German speech on ‘diversity and inclusion’

Former first lady Michelle Obama is being paid the outrageous sum of $741,000 for giving a one-hour speech in Munich, Germany at the Oktoberfest beer festival on “diversity and inclusion.”

The speech was on Monday and was given at a tech start-up event held on the sidelines of the festival, according to two sources who spoke with the Daily Mail. It is a three-day European entrepreneur gathering.

Obama was set to speak to approximately 5,000 attendees on how to “push past self-doubt while discussing the importance of inclusivity and diversity,” according to the event’s website. She “topped the list” of people participants are clamoring to see “year after year,” according to organizers.

“They really pulled out all the stops to get her,” one source, who is close to the team behind the annual “Bits and Pretzels” forum, stated. “It’s one of the highest fees that they have ever paid.”

For context, what Michelle Obama is being paid for a one-hour speech is almost double what President Biden makes in a year as leader of the United States.

Michelle Obama has been booked at $200,000 previously, while former President Obama has been booked at $400,000, according to Axios. This check is over three times her normal fee.

Oliver Kahn, a former German soccer star turned entrepreneur, also spoke at the event according to the Daily Mail.

“The Bits & Pretzels conference is set over three days and hears from founders of national and international companies that tell their success stories, as well as guest speakers like Michelle Obama,” the Daily Mail reported.

Obama has kept a low profile recently but there are growing suspicions she may run on the Democratic Party ticket for the presidency in 2024 if President Biden is forced to bow out due to physical and cognitive issues. His poll numbers are so bad, that it is now believed he could not beat former President Trump in a rematch and Democrats are reportedly panicked over it.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is one of many asserting that he believes Obama is prepping for a run despite the fact she has denied it.

“Here’s the scenario that I think is perhaps most likely, and most dangerous,” Cruz asserted on his podcast. “In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.”

The only problem with that scenario is that Obama would miss a lot of election deadlines, but there are probably workarounds for that.

Leftists love Obama as can be seen in Germany and among Democrats in the United States. She has always had fairly high favorability ratings among the left according to polls. That’s definitely not the case among conservatives.

A recent YouGov poll shows that 61 percent of voters have a favorable opinion of her. She has a 25 percent unfavorable rating. Those numbers absolutely crush Biden.

According to a Daily Mail poll from June, 71 percent of Americans and half of all Democrats now believe that Biden is too old and infirm to be president. Most voters contend they are worse off since he took office.

Three years ago, former President Barack Obama spoke at the same Munich forum his wife spoke at. He gave a keynote address that focused on “entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills.”

His fee for that speech was never disclosed, but he received nearly $700,000 for two speeches given in Australia earlier this year, according to the Daily Mail.

Both of the Obamas have been partaking in lucrative speaking engagements since Barack Obama left office. They have also entered a $65 million publishing deal with Penguin for their memoirs. Personal books are also bringing in large sums for the Obamas. Then there is the eight-figure deal with Netflix involving their joint production company, “Higher Ground.”

Strong contenders to replace Biden include Michelle Obama and California Governor Gavin Newsom, although the former first lady’s popularity far exceeds Newsom’s.
