Mother of teen killed by illegal migrant rips Grammy artists and CBS for allowing the hate

Virtue signaling elitists and the network that platformed them were ripped by a grieving mother who lost her daughter and future son-in-law to an illegal alien.

“I watched the Grammys last night…I shouldn’t have.”

Sunday, celebrities surprised no one with performative politics whilst they patted themselves on the back for supposed bravery, shouting into their echo chamber about their disfavor for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Suggestions of sympathy for the supposed plight of the “undocumented” represented quite the opposite for Shannon Swiderski Hamrick, only weeks removed from the death of her daughter in a car crash allegedly caused by a drunk driving illegal alien.

“It’s sickening! Honestly have any one of those wealthy artists that are advocating against ICE been personally affected in any way?” The mother of 19-year-old Skylar Provenza posited to Fox News Digital. “Try fighting that anger!”

On January 16, Provenza and her boyfriend, 20-year-0ld Fletcher Harris, were both killed after Juan Alvarado Aguilar had allegedly crossed over the center line, colliding with the vehicle of the college students head-on in Cleveland, North Carolina. The Salvadoran national had since been charged with two counts of felony death by vehicle and one count of driving while impaired.

“I’m sure most of these wealthy people with ‘voices’ had drivers to wherever they were going. They weren’t home grieving the loss of their daughter and our future son-in-law,” said Hamrick.

As had been reported, celebrities adorned with “ICE OUT” buttons had paraded along the Grammy Award red carpet as winners like Super Bowl halftime show headliner Bad Bunny and Song of the Year victor Billie Eilish supported open borders in their speeches.

In addition to speaking with Fox News Digital, Hamrick had taken to social media to share her feelings in the wake of the award ceremony, writing in part, “I’m supposed to go back to work in 6 minutes. I’ve prayed, I’ve cried, I’m angry, I’m sad…it’s not fair. I watched the Grammys last night…I shouldn’t have.”

“I’ve tried to keep my frustration toward the fact that this was solely due to drinking and driving..it could have been anyone,” she went on before recounting how she became “overwhelmed with emotion after some of my favorite artists used their voices to advocate for something they probably haven’t been affected by.”

“Instead, they promoted drinking on several occasions and pretty much promoted for people to be above the law. To me, that’s spreading hate…” added the grieving mother as Eilish was also criticized for her notion that Americans were living on “stolen land.”

Despite the grief, Hamrick did highlight a bright light amid the darkness permeating the gatherings of celebrities and their financiers. Without naming names, she expressed her gratitude for “the artists that kept it strictly about sharing their testimony and faith! That’s what this country needs! Just be decent humans! Make better choices!”

This had included Best Contemporary Country Album winner Jelly Roll for his album “Beautifully Broken.”

The artist, real name Jason Bradley DeFord, took the stage and proclaimed, “First of all, Jesus, I hear you and I am listening, Lord! I am listening, Lord!”

“Second of all, I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I’d have ended up dead or in jail. I’d have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that,” he went on offering thanks before adding, “I  want to tell y’all right now, Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party. Jesus is not owned by no music label. Jesus is Jesus, and anybody can have a relationship with Him. I love you, Lord!”
