MSNBC host upset Biden didn’t smear Ronald Reagan, ‘the original MAGA,’ in his hateful speech

Watching a Democratic administration use the power of the federal government to target and otherwise attempt to destroy the opposing political party is a grand thing to see for some Kool-Aid drinkers on the left, but for the more fervid followers, limiting that weaponization to the present is disappointing.

Ronald Reagan and his “shining city on a hill” remain the standard for today’s Republican Party, though many see Donald Trump in much the same light as an outsider able to deliver political change. And for hard-left zealots like MSNBC host Tiffany Cross, they see an opportunity to smear Reagan along with Trump, who is a favorite target of the corporate media.

Cross views everything through the prism of color, as in skin color, and in doing her part to keep black voters on the Democratic plantation she eagerly paints the GOP as racist. The MSNBC host was doing double duty on Saturday’s show, serving as a water carrier for the Democratic Party to rescue the political narrative after the optic disaster that was President Biden’s dark prime-time speech attacking millions of “MAGA Republicans” as a threat to the nation — a speech set against a blood red backdrop.

“This is my challenge here. The Republican Party today is driven by, yes, the MAGA Republicans. The Republican Party yesterday was driven by MAGA Republicans, the original MAGA in Ronald Reagan, those policies are not good for us. The Republican Party of the 1970s, the 60s, the 50s, they had policy that was harmful to black folks,” Cross said.

She would then lament Biden’s effort to walk back his remarks somewhat after the fallout over his “disgusting” speech, as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis referred to it, by saying he wasn’t talking about ALL Republicans.

“I just wish we could call a thing a thing and speak truth about it. What did you think of Biden’s, you know, kind of, olive branch? Hey, I don’t mean all Republicans,” Cross asked guest LaTosha Brown

The left-wing activist didn’t disappoint, essentially saying there are no redeemable Republicans — at the same time spewing pure unchecked nonsense about which party “ran this country into the ground.”

“The truth of the matter is that the Republicans have literally — literally — ran this country into the ground. That ultimately as they have attacked everybody, they have been complicit and so while there’s this distinction to create this space as wiggle room for Republicans,” she said. “The truth of the matter is that they have been complicit in allowing this. They’ve created an environment for what is happening to happen right now.”

Assuring future appearances, she then regurgitated the host’s attack on Reagan.

“This did not happen overnight. Matter-of-fact, we can’t just blame all this on Trump. We can go back, I can go back to the Reagan years,” Brown said.
