Legendary musician Carlos Santana quickly backtracked on “insensitive” anti-transgender comments he made that earned him scorching backlash on social media.
Santana joined a growing list of musicians, actors, and entertainers speaking out on transgenderism, including most recently Alice Cooper who slammed the obsession as “laughable.”
The 76-year-old Santana initially shared his views at a concert in New Jersey in July but, as the video resurfaced and ignited criticism, he took to Facebook to try and quell the fire.
“I am sorry for my insensitive comments,” he reportedly wrote on Facebook.
“They don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs. I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended,” he said, according to Variety, in a post that evidently was then taken down.
The clip that sparked the backlash came during remarks he made to the audience at his concert, speaking on the topic and mentioning comedian Dave Chapelle, who faced his own attacks after anti-LGBTQ comments he made in the Netflix comedy special “The Closer” in 2021.
“When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are,” Santana can be heard saying in the video clip posted online.
“Later on when you grow up, and you see things and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good but you know it ain’t right, because a woman is a woman and a man is a man — that’s it,” he added.
Last night at a concert in New Jersey, rock legend Carlos Santana said “when God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are… a woman is a woman and a man is a man.”

“Whatever you wanna do in the closet, that’s your business, I’m OK with that,” Santana concluded as he told the crowd that he was “Like this with my brother Dave Chappelle.”
The award-winning musician with a decades-long career is not the only one in the entertainment industry speaking out on the woke left’s obsession with transgenderism. Legendary rocker Alice Cooper recently raised eyebrows with his take on the issue, which he criticized as a “fad.”
The shock-rock legend, who was born Vincent Damon Furnier, spoke out against gender transitions for children in an interview with Stereogum this week. Known for his over-the-top goth theatrics and makeup, Cooper continues to entertain fans over his more than five-decade-long career and was asked about his take on fellow rockers Paul Stanley and Dee Snider who came under fire for their views on transgender children.
“I’m understanding that there are cases of transgender, but I’m afraid that it’s also a fad, and I’m afraid there’s a lot of people claiming to be this just because they want to be that. I find it wrong when you’ve got a six-year-old kid who has no idea. He just wants to play, and you’re confusing him telling him, ‘Yeah, you’re a boy, but you could be a girl if you want to be,'” he said.
“I think that’s so confusing to a kid. It’s even confusing to a teenager. You’re still trying to find your identity, and yet here’s this thing going on, saying, ‘Yeah, but you can be anything you want. You can be a cat if you want to be.’ I mean, if you identify as a tree… And I’m going, ‘Come on! What are we in, a Kurt Vonnegut novel?’ It’s so absurd, that it’s gone now to the point of absurdity,” Cooper, a devout Christian, told the outlet.
Naturally, his comments triggered those with differing opinions and one cosmetics firm announced it was cutting its partnership with the “School’s Out” singer.

Cooper turned his attention to “the whole woke thing” during the interview.
“Nobody can answer this question. Maybe you can. Who’s making the rules? Is there a building somewhere in New York where people sit down every day and say, ‘Okay, we can’t say ‘mother’ now. We have to say ‘birthing person.’ Get that out on the wire right now’? Who is this person that’s making these rules? I don’t get it. I’m not being old-school about it. I’m being logical about it,” he contended,
“It’s getting to the point now where it’s laughable. If anybody was trying to make a point on this thing, they turned it into a huge comedy. I don’t know one person that agrees with the woke thing. I don’t know one person,” the 75-year-old rocker continued. “Everybody I talk to says, ‘Isn’t it stupid?’ And I’m going, ‘Well, I respect people. I respect people and who they are, but I’m not going to tell a seven-year-old boy, ‘Go put a dress on because maybe you’re a girl,’ and he’s going, ‘No, I’m not. I’m a boy.’”
He then warned about the inevitable consequences of letting things continue to spiral.
“Well, I can see somebody really taking advantage of this, though. A guy can walk into a woman’s bathroom at any time and just say, ‘I just feel like I’m a woman today’ and have the time of his life in there, and he’s not in the least bit… He’s just taking advantage of that situation,” Cooper said. “Well, that’s going to happen. Somebody’s going to get raped, and the guy’s going to say, ‘Well, I felt like a girl that day, and then I felt like a guy.’ Where do you draw this line?”
Despite the left’s meltdown, many on social media cheered the latest:

What a morning. I wake up to see Trump back on X with his mugshot, flipping off the establishment, and Carlos Santana and Alice Cooper standing up against the insane fad of transsexuality.
