During an exclusive interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley once again discussed the possibility of running for president.
“You said after the holidays that you would look at it, considering, you would ‘read the tea leaves’ in your words,” Baier said. “We’re in the new year, how are those tea leaves looking? Are you going to run for president?”
“Well I’m not going to make an announcement here, but when you’re looking at a run for president, you look at two things,” Haley told the anchor. “You first look at, does the current situation push for new leadership. The second question is, am I that person that could be that new leader, that, yes, we need to go in a new direction. And can I be that leader? Yes, I think I can be that leader.”

Haley pointed to her track record to suggest that she has a demonstrable history of leadership that has primed her for the role.
“I was as governor, I took on a hurting state with double-digit unemployment and made it the beast of the southeast. As ambassador, I took on the world when they tried to disrespect us. And I think I showed what I’m capable of at the United Nations,” she said. “So, do I think I could be that leader? Yes.”
She left the topic on a mysterious note, building anticipation for a run if she chooses to make that leap.
“But we are still working through things, and we will figure it out. I have never lost a race. I said that then. I still say that now. I’m not going to lose now. But stay tuned.”
Twitter had mixed reactions about her potential campaign:
Haley won’t even make it past the primaries.

Now, this may be a very good breath of fresh air. Tested and experienced!
Certainly she is someone to give considerable thought too.

Nikki Haley and Governor DeSantis would be the best team I wouldn’t care who’s president and whose vice president as long as it’s both of them

Yeah. No. If you want to play at the top of the game then you shouldn’t have blown with the foul winds for the last 6+ years.
