Ronna McDaniel’s short-lived but lucrative stint with NBC was met with more backlash as Valuetainment’s Patrick Bet-David asked “Guess who was selling?”
“She’s for sale.”
The talking heads of corporate media took little time to prove that the inmates were running the asylum after the former Republic National Committee chairwoman was hired and fired from her gig with NBC News.
Following the on-air tantrums of their partisan pundits, despite the so-called Republican figure’s willingness to prostrate herself on election integrity and former President Donald Trump, the host of the “PBD Podcast” tore into the bargain price that McDaniel allegedly had been bought for.
“For $300,000, Ronna McDaniel will flip for you and change her opinion. That’s all she’s being paid,” he said on the air amid clips of the former chair’s interview with “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker and meltdowns from the likes of Chuck Todd.

Included in remarks from McDaniel on her belief that Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to then-former Vice President Joe Biden “fair and square,” she turned on those who’d been detained since the U.S. Capitol had been breached on Jan. 6, 2021.
“I do not think people who committed violent acts on Jan. 6 should be free,” the former chair said to Welker when asked about the GOP leader’s intent to free anyone wrongfully incarcerated should he return to the White House. “The violence that happened on Jan. 6 is unacceptable. It doesn’t represent our country.”
“If you attacked our Capitol and…you’ve been convicted,” she carefully stipulated, “then that should stay.”
On the 2020 election in particular, she had opined in 2023, “I do think it’s fair to say there were problems in 2020.”
Referencing the 1992 film “Scent of a Woman,” Bet-David and his panel landed a dig at McDaniel, positing, “Guess who was selling? Ronna McDaniel was for sale for $300,000.”
“So not only did you lose, you had some, but now you lost credibility with the party that you were the chairwoman for,” the host presented, “but guess what they’re thinking about you at NBC? That you’ll flip again if Fox gives you $500,000, you’d go throw NBC under the bus. You’re for sale is what it is.”
The entrepreneur’s slam came as Trump joined the shaming of McDaniel, posting on Truth Social, “Wow! Ronna McDaniel got fired by Fake News NBC. She only lasted two days, and this after McDaniel went out of her way to say what they wanted to hear.”
“It leaves her in a very strange place, it’s called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it’s not a place you want to be,” he continued. “These Radical Left Lunatics are CRAZY, and the top people at NBC ARE WEAK. They are BROKEN and EMBARRASSED by LOW RATINGS, HIGHLY OVERPAID, ‘TALENT.’ BRING BACK FREE AND FAIR PRESS – MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN 2024!”
Later in the week, Bet-David returned to the story on McDaniel as she reportedly “lawyered up” and indicated that the termination wouldn’t hurt her bottom line as the entire two-year contract was expected to get paid out.
That meant for appearing to sell out to corporate media, the one-time RNC chairwoman made “$30,000 a minute.”
