Pelosi had priests perform exorcism to rid home of evil spirits after husband’s hammer attack: report

Reports of a ritual performed at U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) San Francisco home after her husband Paul Pelosi was allegedly attacked there have once again raised questions about the former speaker’s self-proclaimed devout Catholic faith.

Despite losing the majority in the House and stepping down from leadership in her own caucus, the corporate media fanfare for the California congresswoman has not ceased as evidenced by a New York Times spread, “Nancy Pelosi, Liberated and Loving It.” The op-ed penned by Maureen Dowd detailed a lunch interview with Pelosi and her daughter Alexandra, where peppered in with glowing remarks about style choices and legacies, the younger progressive let loose the fact that her mother held an exorcism in November.

Recounting the alleged break-in that ended with her father getting struck in the head with a hammer after police had arrived, Alexandra told Dowd, “I think that weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty.”

Despite San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone excommunicating the former speaker in May, banning her from receiving Holy Communion “until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,” her daughter explained, “Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services.”

Though Father Arturo Albano, of St. Vincent de Paul Church, told the New York Post “As far as I know, no exorcism or priest services were performed at her home,” the report opened the door for many, including U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to wonder, “Will she also be coordinating one for the speaker’s office?”

Of course, as flippant as the congresswoman has been with certain aspects of her faith, members of the Pelosi household may have mistaken a normal blessing for something supernatural.

Then again, Alexandra also said, “I can tell you, in my 52 years of being alive on this earth, I have never had the kind of weekend I’m having right now. My mother is at peak happiness. I’ve never seen her like this. It’s like she’s floating through the air. It’s fascinating for my kids because they don’t know this person.”

President of the Catholic League Bill Donohue voiced different concerns over the report as he told the Post, “The woman is positively conflicted. She wears her Catholicism on her sleeve while basically sticking her middle finger at the Catholic Church every opportunity she has.”

“If it’s genuine, she needs psychiatric help. And if not, it’s another example of Nancy Pelosi exploiting the Catholic Church for her own personal gain.”

Meanwhile, though surely unintentional, while speaking of the alleged attack on her father, Alexandra dropped one more line that, when taken in consideration of the reported exorcism, suggests the poisoned apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

“It’s a miracle that this kind of thing never happened sooner. We were always worried. It’s like your worst fear coming to life,” she said.

Perhaps she feared what the ritual would mean for her mother as one user suggested, “hopefully Nancy doesn’t vanish after the exorcism.”
