Authorities have revealed that 12 people have been arrested after a massive chicken heist on Tuesday.
You read that correctly; a shocking $250,000 worth of chicken was stolen from a semi-truck in Memphis, Tennessee, and now a dozen people are facing charges in connection with that crime. Javunte Johnson was among them, and he is facing charges of “aggravated robbery, theft of property $60,000-$250,000, and convicted felon in possession of a handgun,” according to Action News 5.

“Authorities located Johnson, along with 12 other individuals, unloading stolen pallets of chicken, valued at $250,000, from an 18-wheeler in the back parking lot of an Economy Inn on Lamar Avenue near Old Getwell Road,” the outlet reported.
“Memphis Police said during the investigation, officers determined that the merchandise being unloaded had been stolen. Detectives also recovered three firearms, approximately $110,000 worth of stolen merchandise, and deadly drugs, including fentanyl and cocaine,” the article continued.

- Alexis Pike – Evading arrest and theft of property less than $ 1,000 (X2)
- Robert Wilson – Evading arrest and theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Samuel Jackson – Possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture/deliver/sell (cocaine) and theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Marcellous McKinney – Evading arrest and theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Quantrivious Shavers – Possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture/deliver/sell (fentanyl); convicted felon in possession of a handgun and theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Jessie Moore – Evading arrest and convicted felon in possession of a handgun
- John Shipp, Rico Jackson, Robert Dishmon, Trashawn Featherson and Devean Hoyle – Theft of property $60,000-$250,000
The suspects range in age from 21 to 56, with most of them being aged 35 or older.
