Power-tripping Calif school official smugly dismisses coaches ‘horrified’ of biological girls in male locker rooms

Glendale Unified School District Assistant Superintendent Kelly King knows her students’ parents are angry at the California school’s woke transgender policies.

She knows the male coaches are “horrified” at the mere thought of having biological girls change in front of biological males in the school’s locker room.

Assistant Superintendent Kelly King knows these things — she just doesn’t care.

In fact, the smug servant — the woman who is paid by taxpayers in her community — appears to find the whole thing rather amusing, and if you don’t agree with her, you can just transfer your kids out of her school.

“We have other schools,” she recalled telling one family who opposed her gender-affirming approach to education. “Which one would your child like to transfer to?”

“And eventually they homeschool,” King giggles. “Understandably.”

King goes on to throw the school’s coaches under a presumably yellow bus, saying they just need to “arrive” at the proper way of looking at transgender kids in the locker rooms.

“Where I’ve seen the most resistance is with our coaches,” she says. “And, it’s interesting because, for them, I think, once they interact with a student who’s gender-expansive or transgender, it takes the mystique away, and then they realize, ‘Oh, it’s just a kid. Oh, it’s just a boy. It’s just a girl. I get it now.'”

“We have male coaches who are horrified at the thought of having a biological girl changing clothes in front of them,” she continues. “The stigma attached to abuse and just having a male teacher around any female student in that circumstance is just scary for them.”

Maybe so, but King essentially says they’ll just have to deny everything they know to be true about biology and parrot her progressive point of view.

“It’s one thing for me to keep saying, ‘It’s not a girl. It’s not a girl. It’s not a girl. You only have boys in the boys’ locker room,'” she explained. “Until they arrive, until they experience and realize, ‘Oh, I only have boys in the locker room,’ then that helps.”

A citizen reporter by the Twitter name of Jordan Henry points out that King “actively conceals permanent records from parents so they will not know their child has altered his/her gender identity.”

“For a handful of kids, their permanent record is in my office… We’ve kind of gone out on a limb, and we know that’s controversial to some people,” King says in a follow-up clip.

King, Henry reveals, works with Gender Spectrum, a group that it says “works to create gender sensitive and inclusive environments for all children and teens.”

“The Gender Support Plan is a detailed form to help you create a shared understanding among school staff, parents and a student about the ways in which the student’s authentic gender will be accounted for and supported at school,” the organization says on its website.

“If the parent’s not affirming, the parent may not be involved in this document,” King tells others on the Gender Spectrum video call. “This may be a private conversation between that trusted adult at the school and the student about… how we keep you safe at home.”

When the student is in school, she says, and talking with a teacher, “it’ll be ‘Sam,’ but when your parent’s involved, do I call you Samantha?”

“Kelly King makes $263,000 a year from a school system that serves ≈25,000 students,” Henry states. “By high school, only 43% of Glendale students are proficient in math and only 65% in reading.”

“Kelly King,” he says, “is rewarded for mediocrity and sexualizing children without parental knowledge.”
