Pro-Hamas ‘terrorists’ cause travel nightmare at JFK

Hamas sympathizers made good on plans to disrupt New York City travel with airport protests delaying flights earning no sympathy.

“These are terrorists and the authorities need to arrest them.”

Anti-Israel protests took to the Belt Parkway Monday in a coordinated disruption of the Big Apple’s infrastructure seemingly tolerated by law enforcement officials. After advance notice of plans to “Flood JFK For Gaza” promoted by activist group Within Our Lifetime, Hamas flag-waving, intifada-cheering rabble-rousers descended upon John F. Kennedy International Airport where 60 flights were delayed according to FlightAware.

Video shared by FreedomNews.TV captured the scenes as a caravan of vehicles bearing signs that read “Israel has waged a war on the children in Palestine” and “LONG LIVE INTIFADA” carried passengers shouting into bullhorns, “NYPD are the KKK, IDF they’re all the same.”

According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, 15 of the flights delayed on New Year’s Day directly resulted from crew members being waylaid by the protests. Meanwhile, sources told the New York Post that with more than 100 cars counted at one point making way to block the airport, only seven summons were issued and no arrests were made, even after concerns were raised over balloons spotted floating within JFK’s airspace.

“VICTORY!” wrote Within Our Lifetime on X Monday. “Port Authority has effectively shut down all entrances to JFK for people [without] a boarding pass. Airtrain service is closed, and cars cannot get into the terminal without proof of ticket. Airport is swarming with law enforcement and organizers were removed from Terminal 4.”

“We are calling on everyone [without] a car to meet us at the offices of El-Al, the zionist entity’s largest airline, for a protest at 100 Wall Street in Manhattan. For the Car Caravan, head to LaGuardia Airport Terminal C to shut it down, and then head to Wall St. to join us after,” the activists continued.

Reacting to the post, New York City Council Minority Whip Inna Vernikov (R) deflated the rallying cry as she wrote, “The Hamasnicks declared victory. Victory over what? Disrupting lives of New Yorkers who are now even more annoyed? They were shut down by PAPD and prevented from entering JFK. They were blocked from entering LGA. Now they’re on their way to a non-existent @ELALUSA office…”

“Today was definitely a victory in helping them ‘Free Palestine,'”Vernikov added with sarcasm. “Big WIN here. HUGE!”

The latest protest followed efforts to disrupt New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square Sunday and days after 26 anti-Israel protesters had been arrested for impeding traffic on the Van Wyck Expressway.

Among those reacting to the protests, for which authorities had urged travelers to give themselves extra time to accommodate, commentator Carbine Sabia wrote, “These are not protesters that are blocking JFK and LaGuardia Airports anymore. These are terrorists and the authorities need to arrest them.”
