An original member from the “get Trump” ranks was called in to “circle back” to his prediction about the former president’s potential incarceration “somewhere out near the fence, out in the grass.”
This time last year, MSNBC host Jen Psaki brought former FBI Director James Comey onto her program to share his vision about an ankle bracelet-clad former President Donald Trump accepting the Republican nomination at the convention. Sunday, the bureau head in charge as Crossfire Hurricane was conducted against the GOP leader, dreamed up a new possibility of a “double-wide” on prison grounds after the July 11 sentencing.
The former White House press secretary and host of “Inside with Jen Psaki” raised concerns that some had about the feasibility of imprisoning the president after his conviction on 34 felony counts in his New York criminal case. “Do you agree with that, that it would be difficult or nearly impossible for the law enforcement institutions to put him in an actual jail?”
“No,” Comey argued. “They would just put him in a double-wide — somewhere out near the fence, out in the grass. And he would eat there. He’d shower there. He’d exercise there. He’d be away… from the general population. But it’s obviously doable.”
The suggestion had U.S. Army veteran, author, and former congressional candidate Sean Parnell crying foul and calling for accountability for “Deep Staters.”
“After a rigged trial, Comey is suggesting Merchan & other commie Dem losers throw Trump in a double wide trailer outside gen pop at Rikers. What a disgusting hack this guy is. All these Deep Staters need to be held accountable for the lies they’ve told to this nation. Sickening,” he stated on X.

Initially, Psaki had asked her guest about his prediction from last year, “Do you think he’s gonna be wearing an ankle bracelet or be in jail after the sentencing?”
“I don’t know,” began his response. “It seems unlikely. But I’ve never seen a defendant beg for it more by attacking the judge, attacking the jury, attacking the witnesses. One of the key things in assessing what sentence is appropriate, a judge looks at, ‘So, are you sorry for what you did or are you respecting the system?’ This defendant is running the other way.”
Of course, fantasies about swapping Trump’s tailored suits for a prison jumper weren’t all the former director had to offer as he also ramped up the demonization of the president’s supporters while offering a telling take about how the Justice Department had impacted the practice of First Amendment rights.
Expressing how he was “concerned about wing nuts who are in MAGA world” acting on rhetoric to harm people connected to the case, Comey noted with a reference to Jan. 6 prosecutions, “a deterrence message was sent — still being sent — by the Department of Justice that has scared the crap out of the would-be Capitol-sackers, the would-be marchers.”
Parnell wasn’t alone in calling for accountability as others sounded off, including CEO of The Federalist Sean Davis who wrote, “Hillary Clinton paid a foreign spy to concoct and spread a completely baseless Russian collusion hoax and lied about it [sic] campaign finance reports. The FBI used those lies, which it knew were lies, to illegally spy on innocent American citizens. James Comey tried to extort the President of the United States with those lies, and when that failed, he executed a coup against our elected government.”
“Not one person involved in that massive conspiracy against the U.S.–an illegal conspiracy that is destroying this country and its security and its freedoms–went to jail. And the same people behind it are about to put Donald Trump in jail based on yet more lies they’ve concocted to preserve their own political…Every last one of them needs to pay for what they’ve done to this country,” he added. “Justice demands it.”

The question should have been is Comey ready to go to prison?
