Ramaswamy pressed to clarify remarks on Hunter Biden pardon, claims opposition ‘lies’ BUT…

Conservatives are confused by GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s stance on pardoning Hunter Biden if he’s elected and are demanding clarification on whether he would or not.

To many, it definitely sounded as if Ramaswamy would be open to the idea of pardoning Hunter Biden in the name of national healing but conservatives want justice, not just healing these days after everything they’ve been put through by the Biden administration.

“After we have shut down the FBI, after we have refurbished the Department of Justice, after we have systemically pardoned anyone who was a victim of a political motivated persecution — from Donald Trump and peaceful January 6 protests — then would I would be open to evaluating pardons for members of the Biden family in the interest of moving the nation forward,” the 38-year-old biotech millionaire explosively told the New York Post.

“It is a broad theme of this candidacy, leading us to a national renewal rather than a national divorce. It’s part of a broader vision of an American revitalization,” he stated, unintentionally angering many, many Americans who want Hunter Biden to face the same consequences that everyone else has to.

Ramaswamy supports the impeachment of President Biden and has called for a special counsel to investigate the Biden family and its corrupt business dealings. But it also appears he wants to get past persecution and move the nation forward. The mood that America is in just won’t allow Hunter Biden to skate on his crimes.

“I am calling for a special counsel to investigate and publish all findings relating to Hunter Biden and Biden-family business dealings,” Ramaswamy told the New York Post back in June.

“There cannot be a two-tiered justice system in this country. If there is going to be a Trump-related special counsel, there must be a Biden-related special counsel,” Ramaswamy commented at the time in reference to whistleblower testimony against the Biden clan.

He’s pushing back against those accusing him of being open to pardoning Hunter Biden although the quote in the New York Post appears to indicate that is the case.

“I respect my competitors in this GOP primary, but it’s deeply disappointing to see some of their teams – more precisely, their Super PACs – spew so many lies in response to our momentum. No, I don’t have any plans to pardon Hunter Biden. It’s planted trash. When you strike the swamp, the swamp strikes back,” Ramaswamy tweeted with an alligator emoji attached, seeming to indicate he was swatting at the Ron DeSantis team.

Ramaswamy has been a staunch proponent of pardoning former President Trump if he were to be found guilty in any of the cooked-up investigations related to his possession of classified documents and his involvement with the January 6 riot at the Capitol. In June, Ramaswamy sent a letter to several of his 2024 GOP rivals, asking that they pledge to pardon the former president or explain why they refuse to do so.

Ramaswamy’s perceived misstep is being ripped on Twitter:
