Really, G? Geraldo suggests Trump isn’t in charge of his own White House

President Donald Trump, holding to mass deportation plans, had Geraldo Rivera questioning Oval Office hierarchy as though it were the previous administration.

Well before concerns about the autopen sparked investigations, the cognitive decline of then-President Joe Biden — dismissed by corporate media — had Americans suspecting a White House reenactment of “Weekend at Bernie’s.” Tuesday, as the Washington Post reported that Trump would “reverse” course amid sudden talks of deportation exemptions, Rivera turned similar questions on the current administration, sharing suspicions with California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and asked, “Who the hell is in charge in the White House?”

The journalist first responded to Newsom’s reaction to the Post report, where the governor expressed, “Looks like Stephen Miller is the boss, after all. Trump got big-footed by his own staff. Pathetic.”

Voicing his own displeasure that the president would not provide a default amnesty to illegal aliens working in the agriculture and hospitality industries, Rivera lamented, “Come on Mr. President, you’re the one the American people elected not Stephen Miller. He doesn’t have a compassionate bone in his body. The problem of immigration can’t be solved with hate. Many American businesses are also going to be profoundly harmed by this regressive policy.”

Later Tuesday morning, the former Fox News commentator continued criticism focused on White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, who also serves as Trump’s homeland security adviser.

“Deeply disappointed by the President’s abrupt reversal on calling off ICE immigration raids on farming, and hotel workers,” wrote Rivera. “Who the hell is in charge in the White House? Donald Trump or Stephen Draco Miller? He may seem a cartoon character, but he is hurting real people.”

Of course, whether or not there actually was a reversal remained a matter of dispute.

Late last week, the president posted to Truth Social that the “aggressive policy on immigration” was taking workers away from farms, hotels, and the like, “with those jobs being almost impossible to replace.”

“In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good,” added Trump. “We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!”

By Saturday, it had been reported by the New York Times that a hold had been placed on enforcement operations within those industries before the commander-in-chief issued a lengthy statement Sunday ordering federal law enforcement “to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”

Likewise, despite the nationwide protests and antics of leftist lawmakers pulling publicity stunts, obstructing law enforcement, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin stated to the media, “There will be no safe spaces for industries who harbor violent criminals or purposely try to undermine ICE’s efforts.”

“Worksite enforcement remains a cornerstone of our efforts to safeguard public safety, national security, and economic stability,” she went on. “These operations target illegal employment networks that undermine American workers, destabilize labor markets, and expose critical infrastructure to exploitation.”

Reactions to Rivera’s kvetching over the ongoing deportations not only reminded the journalist that America was a nation of laws, but also about how the previous administration had been managed with nary a peep from corporate media.
