‘Redneck Woman’ Gretchen Wilson endorses Trump, urges Americans to ‘pay close attention’ to media

Former President Donald Trump’s latest endorsement brought a Grammy Award-winner from a family of “Kennedy Democrats” to “urge all Americans to pay close attention” to corporate media.

As the presidential election closed to within two months, and a scheduled debate was expected Tuesday, the dividing line between the powers that be backing Vice President Kamala Harris and the awake, not woke, populace behind Trump grew increasingly clear.

Saturday, after performing for the supporters gathered in Mosinee, Wisconsin to hear the president in the crucial battleground state, singer-songwriter Gretchen Wilson of “Redneck Woman” fame joined Trump on stage to add to the wakeup call about “the only team in this race that is telling you the truth.”

“Now, back in the day, my family were all Kennedy Democrats, but that’s when the Democrats were on the side of the people,” explained the country star after the GOP leader had introduced her to the audience. “Once I started paying attention to what was really going on, I realized the Democratic Party left us.”

“As a songwriter, I pay close attention to words — the words that are being used and the words that are not being used,” expressed Wilson as she found fault in how talking heads and the producers whispering in their ears navigated their narratives. “I urge all Americans to pay close attention to what you are hearing and not hearing from the media, because the issues that are most important for our survival are what we’re voting on.”

“I’m here today to entertain you, but I’m also here today to show my support for the only team in this race that is telling you the truth,” she asserted.

While not her first foray into politics, she previously performed the National Anthem at the 2008 Republican National Convention in addition to a rally for the McCain-Palin ticket, the entertainer tied her personal story to that of the Trump-Vance ticket as she had explained, “My name again is Gretchen Wilson; I’m a midwesterner; I come from a very small town in southern Illinois; I grew up very much like Sen. J.D. Vance.”

“I had to work hard and fight my way out of poverty, just like many other Americans have done. But this is what I was taught to do: To earn my way,” Wilson emphasized. “Since then, I’ve done the impossible. I am now a Grammy Award-winning country music artist, a producer, a songwriter, and most importantly, a mom.”

In closing her brief remarks, the country singer noted, “My story isn’t really that rare, but the American dream that I have been fortunate enough to find will most certainly be lost forever if we do not show up and vote for freedom in November.”

“It is on us,” reminded Wilson as supporters cheered. “Let’s make sure we the people do all we can to save our country by voting for President Trump and J.D. Vance.”
