Salvador Ramos, the disturbed 18-year-old who senselessly massacred 19 school children and 2 adults predicted fours year earlier to the year the cowardly act he facilitated.

That’s according to U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, who told Fox News that Ramos was arrested four years ago after telling others he planned to shoot up a school when he becomes a senior in high school — his assertion has yet to be confirmed by authorities.

“The shooter was arrested years ago, four years ago, for having this plan for basically saying, you know, when I’m a senior in 2022, I am going to shoot up a school,” Gonzales said.

“Something fell between the cracks between then and now to allow this to happen. We need to shake out all the facts. We need to figure out what happened. Where the holes and we need to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he added. “But if law enforcement, you know, identified him four years ago as a threat, we need to figure out why he wasn’t – you know, how he got removed from that.”

Ramos was a high school senior when he committed the callous crime, though it did not appear that he was attending school when he opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The shooting is the third-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, after the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting that claimed 32 lives and the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012, which resulted in 26 deaths, all but six of the dead being young children.

Fox News co-host Pete Hegseth pressed to clarify the bombshell claim, “Congressman, I want to make sure we make this point clear. You are saying there is an arrest report, an engagement with the police four years ago, where they had identified he had made a prediction he was going to do something like this in this very year?”

“Yes. So four years ago,” Gonzales replied, “him and a friend, and I want to look into the details – hey where is that guy at? What is he doing? There is a lot of copycats out there. I want to make sure that the threat is completely over. So four years ago he came out and said, you know, he was saying that he was going to shoot up a school in his senior year in 2022.”

Gonzales, whose congressional district includes Uvalde, was asked if this was written down and he said he wasn’t sure of that but noted that mass shooters often talk about their plans well ahead of time.

“It’s not a surprise,” he said. “And if you ask the people that he worked with or, you know, anyone that knew him in school, it was not a surprise to anyone that this young man was a danger to everyone.”

According to authorities, Ramos had no criminal record as an adult but as Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich pointed out, juvenile records are not always available to the public.

Ramos reportedly had a difficult home life, he lived with his grandmother, whom he shot, and his mother allegedly abused drugs. Police were also familiar with him. His mother, Adriana Reyes, spoke with the Daily Mail and claimed they had a good relationship. She also said her son was not a violent person.

“My son wasn’t a violent person. I’m surprised by what he did,” Reyes said.
