Democratic presidential primary candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is telling President Biden he can put to bed questions about his cognitive fitness to serve simply by debating him.
“President Biden could put to rest any concerns about his fitness for office by engaging me in a vigorous, issues-oriented debate. Let’s end the speculation and let the voters see for themselves,” Kennedy aggressively posted to X. “Quote tweet #BidenDebateKennedy if you agree.”
Another Democrat running for the presidency chimed in. Marianne Williamson responded to Kennedy’s post with, “Whoah Bobby. Debate ‘us.'”
Biden is far, far ahead in the polls, leaving Kennedy and Williamson way behind. It has made him arrogant and his team has declared that he’s the defacto nominee. At 81 years old, he is also the oldest president in American history to run for reelection. Many on both sides of the political aisle doubt his physical and cognitive fitness for office.

Despite the president’s challengers wanting a debate, it would be unusual for it to occur given the lengthy history of incumbent presidents from both parties not engaging in primary debates. They are automatically chosen as the nominee in the next presidential race if they run.
Former President Trump decided to not attend the first GOP primary debate because he has such a huge lead against the other candidates. Eight GOP presidential hopefuls vigorously debated but without the elephant in the room.
Kennedy also spoke with Fox News host Jesse Watters about debating Biden, telling him it is not good for Biden to only talk to his donors and the top brass at the DNC.

“I think he needs to – the president should be out talking to the American people, because, if you’re living in that bubble, where just the only people who have access to you are – actual Americans are living. Americans are hurting like they have never been before. It’s important for our political leadership to have a dialogue and have engagement with not just me, but with the public,” Kennedy asserted.
He stated that Biden has always struck him as compassionate and patriotic, but noted he has seen less of him since he was inaugurated. He went on to contend that the presidency requires someone to be “in good shape.”
“If he feels that he’s up to that, then he should debate me,” Kennedy challenged.
Nothing could be more helpful to our Democracy than for the DNC to allow this debate. They will not even as they claim to love democracy.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang also wants Biden to debate Kennedy Jr., according to Axios.
“If you don’t debate RFK Jr., then he has a stronger case to say, look, I didn’t get a fair shake so I’m going to run in the general,” Yang told the media outlet.
“The problem is that the DNC and Joe do not want Joe debating RFK Jr. or anyone else, and it’s a real problem,” he continued.
He’ll debate you, but only after he conquers riding a bicycle and climbing the stairs.

“I’ve come out and said, I think that people should be running in a more competitive environment against Joe, even though he is the sitting president because I think that that would be a positive thing,” Yang remarked.
