Rogan says people’s opinions of Trump were ‘distorted’ by ‘massive concentrated psyop’

Popular podcaster Joe Rogan on Thursday described the corporate press’ gross distortions of President-elect Donald Trump as a “psy-op.”

“What you’re seeing with Trump, regardless of his flaws, is a massive, concentrated psy-op,” he began. “They’ve distorted who he is to the point most people think that way [negatively about Trump].”

“They’ve had narratives [from the media] — psychological operations — to the point they’ve distorted people’s perception of things,” he added.

In response, one of Rogan’s guests, comedian Ari Shaffir, cited one example of the lies about Trump that the public has been taught to believe.

“When you tell, like, an older liberal that, like, that Obama deportations were higher than the Trump deportations, they go, no, what?” he said. “And you go, no, just let me just Google deportations. Obama vs. Trump. And you go, it’s lower. They go, wait, what?”

“Like, here’s 19 straight articles saying that I’m right. And they go, that doesn’t make sense. And you go, right. Focus on what’s giving you the reality of the world,” he added.

Rogan then had his producer play a clip of failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaking out against illegal migration 16 years ago (in 2008) in a manner reminiscent of how Trump speaks about it now.

“I think we got to have tough conditions,” she began in the clip. “Tell people to come out of the shadows. If they’ve committed a crime, deport them, no questions asked. They’re gone.”

“If they’ve been working and are law-abiding, we should say, here are the conditions for you staying. You have to pay a stiff fine because you came here illegally. You have to pay back taxes and you have to try to learn English. And you have to wait in line,” she added.

Rogan’s guests were stunned.

“She’s a Republican!” Shaffir jokingly exclaimed.

Exactly.

“Hillary Clinton was more MAGA than Trump,” Rogan noted. “But how about that? More MAGA than Trump.”

“It’s all a f–king illusion,” he added, referencing the media’s portrayal of Trump as some xenophobic bigot who hates brown people.

The good news, according to Rogan, is that the corporate press has lost power, to the point that a majority of Americans didn’t listen to their lies during the last presidential election — they listened to independent media instead.

“They had control of the media up until now,” Rogan explained. “This election was the first time they didn’t really have control of the media anymore.”

Why not?

“Because of us, because of podcasts. Because of social media, because of X,” Rogan said, referencing the growth and explosion of independent media.

Responding to Rogan’s claims and insights, social media users appeared to be in stark agreement.

Look:

According to analysis by the Media Research Center (MRC), the corporate press’ coverage of Trump during the last election was only 15 percent positive. Whereas for Vice President Kamala Harris, his opponent in the race, the coverage was 78 percent positive.

“Subtracting Trump’s positive press from Harris’s, the advantage to the Democratic nominee was 63 points, the greatest in the modern media age,” the MRC’s news division, NewsBusters, reported on Election Day.

“The previous worst display of imbalanced campaign coverage came just four years ago. In 2020, the MRC found former Vice President Joe Biden basked in 66% positive network coverage, vs. just 8% positive coverage for then-President Trump, a 58-point imbalance in favor of the Democrats,” the reporting continued.
