Rubio on fire in defense of revoking foreign student visas

Trump 2.0 is widely seen as a new and improved version of the original Trump administration, in large part because of who President Donald Trump chose to surround himself with in his second term.

The president’s impressive cabinet is filled with capable people who are well respected in their chosen fields, but few have the political chops that Secretary of State Marco Rubio possesses and that’s proving to be a thorn in the side of Democrats tasked with undermining this administration at every turn.

With Democrats curiously opting to stand with criminal aliens in the United States illegally, Rubio took Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) to the woodshed over student visas during an appearance before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The Marxist-inspired lawmaker took issue with trouble-making foreign students having their visas revoked, asking Rubio while using a copy of the U.S. Constitution as a prop, “Where in the Constitution does it say that the Secretary of State can override the First Amendment protections of free speech?”

“There’s no constitutional right to a student visa. A student visa’s a privilege,” the Trump official informed Jayapal.

She persisted, “Does it say somewhere that Marco Rubio gets to determine which speech is appropriate and revoke student visas based on what you think constitutes free speech?”

“There’s a statute that says the Secretary of State gets to determine whether someone is a threat…I have the authority,” Rubio responded, unapologetically. “I will continue to revoke the visas of the people that come in here to tear this country apart because they’re on student visas; they’re guests!…No one has a right to a student visa.”

Jayapal tried to argue that Rubio’s action “trumps the supreme law of the land,” but she didn’t get far.

“Someone’s coming up here to stir up problems on our campus, we’re going to revoke their visa. They’re guests,” he reminded the Democrat.

“You revoked her student visa,” Jayapal complained.

“Proudly, and we’re going to do more,” Rubio shot back.
