Russel Brand destroys Justin Trudeau in under two minutes flat using Russia-Ukraine backdrop

As Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau focuses on his nation’s response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “authoritarian” aggression against Ukraine, comedian Russell Brand delivered a devastating reminder of Trudeau’s recent actions against his own citizens.

“Obviously the war in Ukraine and the crushing of protests in Canada are two separate things. This war is a humanitarian disaster. It is wrong,” Brand stated in a video posted Saturday to his wildly popular YouTube channel.

“What I am saying is, if the reason that this war is wrong, or one of the reasons, is because it is against democratic principles, then you must ensure that where it is possible, where there is no militarized state opposing your ability to be democratic, you should be democratic,” Brand continued. “Otherwise, you do not have the same argument. You can criticize Russia for many, many reasons, you can condemn the actions of Russia — quite rightly — for many reasons. What you can’t do is claim to be an exemplar of democracy if, whenever you get the opportunity to be tyrannical, you take it.”

Brand then played a resurfaced clip of Trudeau professing his admiration of the Chinese Communist government.

“Let’s see what Justin Trudeau had to say about Chinese state authoritarianism in 2014,” Brand teased.

“There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China,” Trudeau said.

“Even then,” Brand states, “before Justin Trudeau became a sort of figure of loathing as a result of the trucker actions, and I’m sure also for other things that I’ve not been following, he literally, while he’s still in his Boy Band phase, is openly declaring affection for Chinese state authoritarianism.”

Brand then plays the rest of Trudeau’s statement, and it’s enough to make anyone who believes in liberty cringe.

“Because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime, and say ‘we need to go greenest, fastest; we need to start, y’know, investing in solar,'” Trudeau explained with enthusiasm.

“If only we had a dictatorship!” Brand exclaimed. “Don’t worry, Justin, future you has got that covered.”

Brand is, of course, referring to Trudeau’s abhorrent handling of the Freedom Convoy protests that ground business-as-usual to a halt and inspired a world that has grown weary of vaccine mandates and government overreach.

In response to peaceful but determined protesters against mandatory vaccinations, Trudeau invoked his emergency powers and began targeting the bank accounts and assets of anyone who supported the truckers.

So, when Trudeau headed to Great Britain this month to show his support of Ukraine and condemn Putin, people naturally had questions.

But that didn’t stop the brazen Prime Minister from visiting Poland to offer more harsh words for Putin’s tyranny and arrange a great photo op with Ukrainian refugees.

It’s a level of hypocrisy that even Twitter cannot endure…
