A skier who wanted a photo with a snow leopard was taught a powerful lesson in the laws of nature.
In North China, a woman was brutally mauled by the big cat as she reportedly moved within 10 feet of it to get a picture. Video shows the aftermath of the attack, with blood pouring from the woman’s face as others attempt to get her to safety.

🐆 A snow leopard attacks a skier in North China. These sorts of attacks are extremely rare since Snow Leopards tend to avoid people. Reasons for the attack are unknown pic.twitter.com/Zvl5x94255

Local reports credit the helmet she was wearing for protecting the woman from more serious harm after she miraculously survived the attack.
“Recently, snow leopard activity has been detected in Gem Valley, Keketuohai,” the Jam Press reported on a previous warning from authorities. “Snow leopards are large predators with strong aggressive tendencies. When passing through this area, please move quickly and do not linger. Do not get out of your vehicle or approach to take photos, and never walk alone in the surrounding area.”
One witness reported spotting a snow leopard at a nearby guesthouse before the attack.
“We saw it last night, a few kilometers from where the attack took place, but we can’t confirm if it’s the same snow leopard,” they said.

It would be awesome if I could get within 10ft of this wild predator – this chick

What’s most sad about this incident is that if they find the snow leopard, they most likely euthanize it. 😔

What part of it being a “leopard” did she not understand?

Hope the leopard is fine tho. Snow leopards are not used to attack humans, very few attacks been documented in history.

Good. People want to be stupid and get to close to wildlife and make them uncomfortable they deserve what they get . Idiots. Hopefully nothing happens to the snow leopard
