Somalia’s ambassador to the UN was ‘healthcare’ director in Ohio, but that’s not all…

Abukar Dahir Osman, Somalia’s ambassador to the United Nations, previously served as a director of a suspicious healthcare company in Ohio.

According to an investigation by Horn Diplomat, Osman was listed as a managing director of Progressive Health Care Services Inc., a healthcare company in Cincinnati, from 2014 until May 2019.

This coincided with his tenure as Somalia’s U.N. ambassador, which began in June of 2017, meaning his “work” at Progressive Health Care Services Inc. overlapped his U.N. tenure by two years.

During these two years, “Progressive Health Care Services Inc. was subject to billing and compliance scrutiny,” according to Horn Diplomat.

Concerns are now being raised about Osman’s role at the Ohio healthcare company because Somalia took a place at the head of the U.N. Security Council on January 1, 2026.

“Somalia has officially taken over the United Nations Security Council Presidency, marking a significant milestone in its growing global prominence,” TRT Afrika reported.

“The Horn of Africa country is expected to lead the Security Council’s affairs for the month of January, presiding over meetings and work agenda in the body, which is charged with the responsibility of maintaining international peace and security,” the report continued.

Critics say the timing raises concerns.

“When a country is about to assume the presidency of the Security Council, unresolved questions about financial disclosures and overlapping roles inevitably draw closer scrutiny,” a governance expert told Horn Diplomat.

Concerns have also been raised about Somalia’s foreign minister, Abdisalam Abdi Ali. He reportedly also used to run a healthcare company in Ohio.

These findings come amid a massive uproar over the extensive fraud being committed by Somalis throughout the United States.

Fraud was first found in Minnesota, where Somalis have reportedly been running fake daycare centers using generous taxpayer money. It was later also found in Washington State, where investigative journalists again discovered taxpayer-funded Somali daycare after daycare that didn’t actually exist.

This week, for example, journalists Cam Higby and Jonathan Choe discovered that the owner of one daycare has received $210,000 in taxpayer funds, despite people living nearby claiming they’ve never seen a daycare operating there.

Another journalist, Carleen Johnson of The Center Square, announced on X this Monday that she’d visited four Somali-run daycare centers in Washington, only to find zero children present.

“Just went to four Somali run home daycare centers in Federal Way, WA that receive taxpayer subsidies,” she tweeted. “Just like @nickshirleyy found in MN- there were no children and no one willing to chat with this reporter. They threatened me with police.”

“This did not at all appear to be a legit child care center receiving WA taxpayer subsidies,” Johnson added in an additional post.

Next up is the Inland Auditing Media group, which revealed on X that their reporters were almost attacked “by a gang” when they went to check out the supposed Somali-run daycares in Seattle.
