Some House Dems not buying Kamala’s grocery price controls: report

The mass propaganda campaign to bamboozle voters into believing that Kamala Harris is a legitimate choice for president has been working like a charm, with one notable exception, her call for government price controls on the grocery industry.

In a cynical attempt to gaslight the American public into believing that the budget-crushing inflation at checkout stands isn’t the fault of the Biden-Harris administration’s economic policies, the veep is scapegoating grocers for “price gouging” which she announced that she will ban by empowering federal bureaucrats to set prices.

But the proposal is so audaciously un-American and communistic that Harris managed to do the unthinkable by uniting people across the political spectrum against it, a big problem for Democrats looking to cement their one-party system into place permanently in the upcoming election.

Now it is being reported that some House Democrats aren’t sold on the Marxist scheme and they told Politico – anonymously of course – that the magical “Kamalot” regime will never actually implement the price controls as official policy, suggesting that it’s just an election year “messaging tactic” to gaslight gullible voters that she’s going to do something.

“Under pressure to defend Kamala Harris’ grocery price gouging plan, some Democratic lawmakers are delivering a quiet message to anxious allies: Don’t worry about the details. It’s never going to pass Congress,” the outlet reported.

According to Politico, “such a bill has no chance of passing Congress anytime soon, even if Democrats win the White House and Congress this November, according to six Democratic lawmakers and five Democratic aides who were granted anonymity to discuss the matter candidly. These people said Democrats in Congress have privately been telling critics that this part of the Harris plan is not viable.”

“It’s clear to me these are very general, very lofty goals,” one unnamed Democrat lawmaker was quoted.

“I honestly still don’t know how this would work,” another anonymous Dem lawmaker said.

“She’s going to work with Congress to ensure that it is directed at bad actors, bad activity,” Harris economic advisor Brian Nelson told the press at the DNC coronation party last week. “It’s not meant to set prices or price levels or anything like that. And that is not the way current state laws around price gouging are.”

“I’m sure it polls well,” an unnamed food industry official told Politico. “But it’s an obvious effort to deflect blame from her administration on inflation.”

It’s no wonder that Democrats are quietly toning it down after the intense backlash because former President Donald J. Trump has been all over it.

The GOP nominee has also dubbed Harris “Comrade Kamala” which could stick to her like glue.

The House Democrats may be telling the press that Kamala’s Soviet-style price-fixing scheme is DOA but it’s notable that their nominee has not come out and walked it back which would seem to indicate that she’s very serious about it.
