Former White House strategic communications director and “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin was forced to choke down a good-sized helping of crow after she blatantly lied about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, now the top target of the Democrat smear machine.
On Thursday’s edition of the popular ABC daytime gabfest where Farah Griffin is still settling into her role as the house conservative in the nest of shrieking leftist harpies, she accused DeSantis of “erasing history” over a controversial AP black history course that veers into queer theory and other key tenets of “woke” left ideology.
Seemingly eager to please her kooky race-obsessed co-host Whoopi Goldberg, Farah Griffin falsely claimed that DeSantis has outlawed the teaching of slavery and the Civil War, a flaming triple-decker whopper of a lie that, while pleasing to the show’s rabid audience, is incompatible with the reality-based world.
Faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin falsely asserts that DeSantis is “erasing history” of blacks in America.
She lies that Florida school kids are “not going to learn about slavery” and the Civil War.”That’s going dangerously far,” she proclaims.

“What Ron DeSantis did with banning AP black history – that is going way further than what many members of my party have raised concerns with,” Farah Griffin said. “So there’s a lot of parents who get concerned with elements of critical race theory getting into schools…,” she added, as she was interrupted by one of Whoopi’s racist rants.
“I think it’s an important distinction because what he’s doing is so absurd. And it’s going so far,” she said. “You’re literally talking about erasing history – not bringing in the theories and the theoreticals and the more college-level stuff, that’s CRT. This is straight up saying we’re not gonna learn about slavery, we’re not going to learn about the Civil War. That’s much more dangerous.”
Farah Griffin and Goldberg’s misrepresentation of the facts was blasted by Bryan Griffin, the governor’s press secretary who told Fox News Digital that they are “both dishonest and incorrect.”
On Friday, the chastened chatterbox took to Twitter to admit that she was full of malarkey, although stopped short of apologizing for her blatant falsehood.
“Sooo I got tripped up on a point re: DeSantis/ AP black history on air & accidentally misrepresented what the Governor is challenging. It’s more narrow than how I framed it, & while I still personally disagree, I own that I explained it wrong,” she fessed up.
“My mom always taught me that when you’re wrong admit it, say sorry, and get it right next time,” Farah Griffin added.

DeSantis’ rapid response team expressed kudos for acknowledging the big lie while noting that the correction should also be made on the program.
There were other reactions to Farah Griffin’s mea culpa though, for some mysterious reason, she has limited who is able to reply.
Are you going to say this on TV too, or only here where you get 7 retweets? https://t.co/vaYENJVzRB

You accidentally misrepresented that you have a clue about facts. But that’s why you’re on the clown show The View https://t.co/OZ80x5w6x5

The self proclaimed conservative The View host, hired for her conservative bonafides, and also a Trump administration hire, did not correct this mistake about a conservative governor on air today. So you're all aware of this game now. https://t.co/HrgW32eBIy

The "conservative" on The View spends ample time attacking the most popular governor from her party, doesn't she? https://t.co/LcFSOsb53q

Why did you turn off your notifications? Are you afraid of getting ripped over Twitter for misrepresenting Ron. I appreciate you owning your mistake but it’s a mistake that you should never had made. https://t.co/6yZg4vXHfw

The Florida Department of Education states on its website that African-American history teachings are required to include “the history of African peoples before the political conflicts that led to the development of slavery,” the “enslavement experience,” and “the history and contributions of Americans of the African diaspora to society.”
