Titillating claim in new book says Sinema ‘boasted’ her cleavage persuaded ‘uptight’ GOP lawmakers

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., is not exactly loved on the left, given her alliance with Sen. Joe Manchin, D- W.Va., in killing President Biden’s “Build Back Better” social welfare agenda, not to mention the Democrats’ power grab described as a “voters rights” bill.

Only Republicans are reviled more by Democrats, and this is where New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns scored a twofer for their new book, “This Will Not Pass.”

According to the authors, Sinema “joked with Democrats about how easy it was for her to charm Republican men,” using her feminine assets to gain favor — apparently, objectifying women is politically correct if in the process of doing so the GOP is disparaged.

“Sinema, a fitness enthusiast who was 36 when she entered Congress, boasted knowingly to colleagues and aides that her cleavage had an extraordinary persuasive effect on the uptight men of the GOP. She told one House Republican that while she would never switch parties, her father would be delighted if she did,” the authors wrote, according to the Daily Mail.

For what it’s worth, Sinema is the first openly bisexual member of the Senate.

Martin and Burns dubbed Sinema, a rare moderate Democrat, an “aloof Arizonan,” and detailed prolonged talks between her and Biden, noting that White House aides concluded that she was “simply a difficult person.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the titillating tidbit of information included in the book from Twitter:
