Trailing badly, Stacey Abrams sets stage for midterm loss by blaming black men, citing voting ‘difficulties’

If there’s one thing Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams knows for sure it’s this: If she loses on Tuesday to Republican Governor Brian Kemp, it isn’t her fault.

It’s not because people don’t like her. It isn’t because Georgians are tired of her woke nonsense.

It’s because her supporters are too stupid to “navigate the difficulties put in place by Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger.”

Forget that she’s down against Kemp in the polls by nearly eight points as of Friday.

That’s not Abrams’ fault either.

Black men are to blame for that. They have fallen for “misinformation.”

These are the stunning arguments Abrams made to MSNBC host Ali Velshi on Saturday, and, while Abrams says she’s confident that she’ll be victorious over Kemp if only her base can figure out how to vote, Twitter is telling a very different tale.

“While the polls are always going to tell the story you want to see, what we know is that the untold story is that this is a tight race, it is neck and neck, and we believe that we are on a path to victory if we can get all our voters turned out and if they can navigate the difficulties put in place by Brian Kemp and [Secretary of State] Brad Raffensperger to not only game the system, but to suppress voting in the state of Georgia,” Abrams stated confidently.

Velshi pressed Abrams on the black vote, stating that, in the last election, she lost by 55,000 votes.

“So, mathematically, if you’d had even more black vote turnout, you might have won that election,” he stated. “Where is the black vote for you right now, because some observers have said it’s not as enthusiastic as it was last time around.”

Abrams noted “record turnout” among black men over 2018.

“I do not believe it’s because of a deep well of enthusiasm for my opponent,” she said.

“Unfortunately, this year, black men have been a very targeted population for misinformation,” she continued. “Not misinformation about what they want, but about why they want what they deserve.”

The explanation didn’t sit well with folks on Twitter.

“Look at how she belittles black men,” wrote former Georgia Congressional candidate Barrington Martin II. “Look at the excuses she’s making because she failed to connect with a demographic she needs for victory. Truly pathetic.”

“Only @staceyabrams can give black men what they deserve,” tweeted another user. “Uh huh. Wretched woman. Horrible candidate.”

“Translation: Black men are too stupid to know when they’ve been misinformed. That’s why my numbers are lower among them. — @staceyabrams,” stated a third. “With just days until the election, Democrats canNOT stop disrespecting Black men.”

Others feel Abrams is just getting ahead of her inevitable loss.

“An election denier…” declared one Twitter user, “in advance.”

“She’s already preparing herself to deny the results of the election because she knows she can’t win,” observed another.

“Fixed the headline:” a third tweeted. “Stacey Abrams pre-loads the narrative for her second gubernatorial election loss.”
