Troubling drone footage reveals massive scale of migrant influx, children nearly drowning, sea of tents and trash

Video footage recorded along the southern U.S. border shows just how much of an invasion by illegal aliens America faces now that Title 42 is about to be nixed.

Take the following video, which shows a sprawling tent encampment reportedly along the Mexican bank of the Rio Grande, right across from Brownsville, Texas:

Then there’s this video, which shows children who almost drowned while swimming to America being saved at the last minute:

These videos cover just one tiny portion of the border and, thus, of the wider crisis that America now faces.

Keep in mind that Title 42 remains intact until Friday. Yet already, an estimated 10,000 illegals are crossing into the U.S. daily in the days preceding the policy’s removal.

“More than 10,000 migrants were caught crossing at the U.S.-Mexico border illegally each day on Monday and Tuesday, said Brandon Judd, president of a union for Border Patrol agents,” according to Reuters.

As previously reported, Title 42 is a Trump-era COVID policy that allows U.S. authorities to quickly expel migrants at the border.

“Migrants encountered under Title 42 have been either returned to their home countries or sent back into Mexico. Under the policy, authorities have expelled migrants at the US-Mexico border more than 2.8 million times since the policy began,” according to CNN.

The policy is now being nixed because the federal government’s COVID emergency has formally ended, and that emergency had been the “legal underpinning” for Title 42.

What makes Title 42’s ending particularly ominous is that it’s being nixed during the Biden administration — which, compared to the Trump administration, has done virtually nothing to secure the border.

That’s why, even with Title 42 in place, MILLIONS of illegals have already crossed into the U.S. since President Joe Biden assumed office in early 2021.

“Since President Biden took office, around 5.5 million illegal aliens have crossed our borders—a crisis of epic proportions,” according to a report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) published last October.

“Some 2.7 million migrants—those who illegally entered or were otherwise inadmissible at a port of entry—were encountered at our borders in FY 2022, bringing the total under President Biden to a whopping 5.5 million. One thing is clear: These record-breaking numbers are a direct consequence of open-borders policies implemented by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the person who appointed him, President Joe Biden,” FAIR president Dan Stein said at the time.

“This deliberate sabotage of our nation’s immigration laws demands that the president remove Mayorkas from his position immediately. Otherwise, the impeachment of his disgraced cabinet member is sure to be one of the first orders of business in the next Congress,” he added.

Congressional Republicans have for their part tried to help by proposing a bill containing tougher border security, but Democrats have refused to even consider the bill.

“The package, which Democrats have warned will be blocked in the Senate, would require asylum seekers to apply for U.S. protection outside the country. It also would resume construction of a wall along the border and expand federal law enforcement efforts,” Reuters notes.

The White House is also refusing to consider it.

“While we welcome Congress’ engagement on meaningful steps to address immigration and the challenges at the border, this bill would make things worse, not better,” a statement from the White House Office of Management and Budget reads. “Because this bill does very little to actually increase border security while doing a great deal to trample on the nation’s core values and international obligations, it should be rejected.”
