Truck driver vs protesters: ‘What’s wrong with y’all?’ moment goes viral

Chaos outside a New Jersey immigration detention center led to one man ripping into protesters who were preventing him from doing his job.

Dramatic video footage from Freedom News was shared on social media, showing the moment a truck driver unleashed on protesters impeding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) agents outside of Newark’s Delaney Hall.

“If I hit one of y’all, I go to jail,” the man, a driver for Elizabeth-based Regional Industries, told demonstrators, many wearing masks and goggles, as the New York Post reported.

“What’s wrong with ya all?” the fed-up driver demanded. “Come on, man.”

“Protests outside Delaney Hall began Friday and have continued throughout the week, at times turning chaotic as demonstrators clashed with ICE agents outside the facility. On Sunday night, protesters attempted to block vehicles from entering and exiting the detention center,” Fox News reported Wednesday.

“On Monday, officers deployed tear gas and forcibly removed protesters during confrontations outside the facility. Video from the scene showed officers throwing one protester to the ground and dragging another away from the entrance,” the report continued, noting that “detainees and family members have alleged overcrowding, poor living conditions and inadequate medical care inside the facility.”

President Donald Trump pushed back during a meeting with his Cabinet on Wednesday.

“These aren’t protesters; these people are fake, they’re all paid for,” he said. “We run the finest facilities anywhere in the world of their type.”

Homeland Security chief Markwayne Mullin fired back at Democrats and the agitators impeding operations at the Newark facility.

“This isn’t a Holiday Inn. Illegal aliens are at this detention facility because they broke our nation’s laws. ICE has arrested brutal criminals in New Jersey, including murderers, rapists, sex offenders, child predators, and drug traffickers,” he wrote on X.

“We aren’t providing luxury accommodations—it’s a detention center. We provide basic necessities like beds, medical, and meals until they go HOME. They have commissary funds, so you can feel free to put your personal money on any detainee books that you choose,” he wrote in another post, responding to complaints by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ).

Meanwhile, X users sympathized with the frustrated truck driver who lit into the anti-ICE demonstrators at Delaney Hall.
