Trump appoints himself new Kennedy Center chair, ban drag shows

President Donald J. Trump announced that he’s firing the board members of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and putting himself in charge of the prestigious Washington, D.C. venue.

In another of his rapid-fire moves to roll back the left-wing damage done to the country under the Biden regime, Trump said that the chairman and multiple board members were being terminated and that their vision wasn’t compatible with the “new golden age of arts and culture” that has dawned in America.

The nation’s 47th president also made it clear that the Kennedy Center would no longer be hosting drag shows, especially ones where male perverts dressed up as women suggestively shake their stuff in front of children.

“At my direction, we are going to make the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., GREAT AGAIN. I have decided to immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture. We will soon announce a new Board, with an amazing Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP! Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth — THIS WILL STOP. The Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation. For the Kennedy Center, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!” Trump said in a Friday post to Truth Social.

The center hosted a “Dancing Queens Drag Brunch” at its Roof Terrace Restaurant in October featuring star transvestite Tula and other “most fabulous drag performers,” according to its website. In addition to the freak show, attendees could enjoy a $98.91 bottomless mimosa brunch.

“Join the party at the Kennedy Center Roof Terrace Restaurant with our Dancing Queens Drag Brunch featuring our lovely hostess and 2024 Capital Pride Honoree Tula, her best friend and the Queen of Comedy Regina, and more talented drag performers representing the diversity of D.C.’s queer community. Enjoy bottomless mimosas, breakfast favorites, seafood, steak, charcuterie, fresh fruit, mini pastries, and much more with the best brunch view in D.C.,” the website states.

The Kennedy Center describes itself as a “vibrant campus of theaters and other artistic spaces. ” After Trump’s announcement, its website was so overwhelmed with traffic that users were forced to wait in an online waiting room.

Trump’s announcement was cheered by X users.

The current chairman of the board of trustees is David Rubenstein, a filthy rich investor who is close to Joe Biden and has let the disgraced former president and his family stay at his $34 million home in swanky Nantucket for Thanksgiving, a turkey day tradition for the crooked clan.

It isn’t clear which board members were to be given the boot and, as of Friday night, the center insisted that it had not been informed of any changes.

“The Kennedy Center is aware of the post made recently by POTUS on social media,” the center said on its website. “We have received no official communications from the White House regarding changes to our board of trustees. We are aware that some members of our board have received termination notices from the administration.”
