The newly elected President of the United States Donald J. Trump has already put the world on notice with sweeping new reforms and mandates after only FOUR days in office.
There’s arguably no better place to see those swift, positive changes than in parts of western North Carolina where Hurricane Helene decimated entire mountain towns and destroyed lives. But for a few dedicated volunteers and politicians, the people in the devastated region were all but forgotten and were largely forced to rely on FEMA for help.
For most, FEMA’s help never came or was intermittent, and cruel as North Carolinians were given “permission” to use hotels for limited increments of time during days-long winter storms and severe cold fronts. Atrocities committed by the Biden administration against the victims of Helene, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina are too long to list here, but BizPac Review covered many like FEMA promising 103 temporary homes, but only delivering 19 and a FEMA worker’s refusal to help Trump supporters to name a few.
Now, for the GREAT news.
Former Nuclear Scientist for the Dept. of Energy has been relentlessly reporting on updates throughout the region, including Trump’s trip on Friday to see the devastation for himself.
“MY KIDS SOCCER FIELD still looks like this 119 days after the hurricane,” Van Swol posted on X. “We have been ignored for months, now we are finally getting help. TRUMP EFFECT!!!!!!”
If you’re wondering why everyone in Western North Carolina is freaking out about Trump coming today…
… It is because MY KIDS SOCCER FIELD still looks like this 119 days after the hurricane
We have been ignored for months, now we are finally getting help.

Shortly before Trump’s arrival Van Swol reminded folks how Biden left the region:
This is how the Biden administration left Western North Carolina.

But the Trump administration began making changes before he landed in North Carolina with the appointment of interim director Navy Seal, Cameron Hamilton.
I am incredibly encouraged by Trump’s newly appointed FEMA interim director and former Navy Seal, Cameron Hamilton.
In a recent podcast, he clearly criticizes using federal funds to help other countries overseas while Americans in North Carolina need help.

With Hamilton in place, Trump told reporters in North Carolina that more help is coming:
TRUMP, IN NORTH CAROLINA: I am stopping in North Carolina first. They have been abused. A lot of things didn’t happen that should’ve happened. We’re gonna fix it – as fast as we can. FEMA has let the country down. We’re gonna do a good job. We’re gonna supply a lot of the… pic.twitter.com/Kg9ZvPEYvs

The people of North Carolina “have been abused,” Trump told the press. “FEMA has really let us down,” he continued, vowing to “fix” the devastation fast.
The sense of relief felt by North Carolinians is palpable.
“If you ever wanted to know why I voted for Donald Trump take a look at Western North Carolina,” a woman on TikTok said, blasting the do-nothing Biden admin. “In 2 days, President Trump has these people being transferred to fully finished apartments!”
“If you ever wanna know why I voted for Donald Trump take a look at Western North Carolina. In 4 months, our past administration couldn’t do anything for these people..”
“In 2 days, President Trump has these people being transferred to fully furnished apartments!”

Another Helene survivor, Kendall, broke down in tears when she saw the warm bed in her new apartment, again, TWO days, after Trump took office.

Indeed, the ‘Trump effect’ is sweeping through the devasted region and Americans couldn’t be more relieved to see Americans finally come first:
Help is on the way!!

He was there when he wasn’t President and he is back to help where FEMA failed

Very true. This is Trump’s second visit since the hurricane. He never forgot!
It is fabulous to watch live. .
As an aside, of course our First Lady is appropriately stunning.
