Coming soon! After seven long years, it looks like Megyn Kelly is poised to interview Donald Trump once again.
Kelly announced on her popular podcast that she will interview the former president on September 14, the sit-down coming seven years after their last interview and eight years after their infamous exchange at the 2015 Republican primary debate.
“I want to start today with the big announcement, huge — huge you might say,” Kelly opened Thursday’s show
“Next week I’ll be interviewing former president Donald Trump,” she added. “It will be my first interview with the former president in seven years and there’s so much to get to. I’m really looking forward to this. It’s going to be great, it’s going to be spicy, and it’s going to be tough.”

You could see this development coming after Kelly said on her show back in July that she and Trump agreed to bury the hatchet during a private meeting at the annual Turning Point USA conference, where they both spoke. The former Fox News host told her listeners that the “nonsense between us” was now water “under the bridge.”
The Justice Department’s treatment of Trump and his persecution over the Jan. 6, 2021, protests at the U.S. Capitol have also drawn Kelly closer to Trump’s orbit.
Here is the 2015 exchange that started the feud:
Kelly: “Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.”
Trump: “Only Rosie O’Donnell… I think the big problem this country has is being politically correct. I’ve been challenged by so many people, and I don’t frankly have time for total political correctness. And to be honest with you, this country doesn’t have time either.”
Kelly made it clear that she would approach the interview with Trump in an impartial manner after suggesting there may be “many more to come.”
“Trump knows that I’m not — I’m not somebody who suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome, like the vast majority of people in the media,” she said, “But I’m also not a sycophant, so I’m not going to go in there and be a bootlicker.”
