Former President Donald J. Trump reacted after being indicted by a politically weaponized Justice Department, calling the unprecedented move by an increasingly despotic regime a “dark day for the United States of America” as he faces the potential of spending the rest of his life in prison.
As expected, Attorney General Merrick Garland’s legal hitman, Special Prosecutor Jack Smith delivered on what was obviously his task since the day that he was appointed by indicting the 2024 Republican frontrunner who has been ordered to appear in a federal court in Miami next week, news that broke on Thursday night.
“The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is “secured” by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, a day after he had initially denied reports that he was told he would be indicted.

“I have been summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday, at 3 PM. I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the History of our Country, and is currently leading, by far, all Candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in Polls of the 2024 Presidential Election. I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!” Trump added in the second of his three-part post.

“This is indeed a DARK DAY for the United States of America. We are a Country in serious and rapid Decline, but together we will Make America Great Again!” Trump concluded.

The most persecuted president in history also posted a video to social media maintaining his innocence and the indictment by Biden’s goons is election interference.

The 76-year-old Trump faces at least seven charges which could carry up to 75 years in prison, more than enough to permanently remove him from the playing field. They include: “willful retention of national defense information,” “conspiracy to obstruct justice,” “withholding a document or record,” “corruptly concealing a document or record,” “concealing a document in a federal investigation,” “scheme to conceal,” and “false statements and representations,” according to unnamed sources cited by ABC News.
Trump attorney Jim Trusty confirmed to CNN that the charges “break out from an Espionage Act charge,” the archaic World War I-era law that was dusted off under Barack Obama to prosecute reporters and whistleblowers.
The indictment is the second brought against Trump by malicious prosecutors with the first being the 34 stacked felony charges in George Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in the Stormy Daniels “hush money” case, and it likely won’t be the last with another Smith grand jury in Washington, D.C. still deliberating, along with another in Atlanta.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Trump’s top rival for next year’s GOP nomination reacted to the news.
“The weaponization of federal law enforcement represents a mortal threat to a free society,” he wrote on Twitter. “We have for years witnessed an uneven application of the law depending upon political affiliation.
“Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter?” DeSantis added. “The DeSantis administration will bring accountability to the DOJ, excise political bias and end weaponization once and for all.”

The Putinesque move by the Biden regime should once and for all retire the idea that America is the “shining city upon a hill” and a beacon of “democracy” as the nation joins the ranks of every other corrupt banana republic only a few years short of its 250th birthday, now entering uncharted territory with traditional norms and longstanding legal principles fed into the shredder along with the U.S. Constitution, a document that has been rendered practically meaningless today.
