Former President Donald Trump is grateful for the endorsement of Minnesota Gov. Tims Walz’s family though he thinks there is “something weird” about the Democratic vice presidential nominee.
Trump told a town hall audience Wednesday that he was “honored” to have Walz’s older, estranged brother Jeff Walz express his support for him as family members also signaled their endorsement with a photo wearing matching “Walz’s For Trump” shirts.
President Trump: “I was so honored today. His (Tim Walz) brother endorsed me, and his WHOLE FAMILY. I saw the picture!…. There’s something WEIRD with that guy! He’s a weird guy!” pic.twitter.com/mQbY203EgW

“I was so honored today,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity and the crowd during a town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“His brother endorsed me,” he added, prompting loud cheers from the crowd. “And his whole family! I saw the picture.”
“It was a very nice-looking family. But his brother endorsed me, and his whole family endorsed me.”

Trump went off on Walz after Hannity asked him about the Democrat’s attacks on him and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio.
“There’s something weird with that guy. He’s a weird guy,” the Republican nominee said, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience at the New Holland Arena in the Keystone State.
“J.D. is not weird. He’s a solid rock. I happen to be a very solid rock,” Trump assured. “We’re not weird. We’re other things perhaps, but we’re not weird.”

“But he is a weird guy. He walks on the stage, there’s something wrong with that guy. And he called me weird. And then the fake news media picks it up,” the former president said.
Walz’s brother expressed in a Facebook comment last week that the governor is not “the type of character ” to be making important decisions for Americans’ future.
“I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology,” Jeff Walz said. “The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that he looked forward to meeting the elder Walz brother who lives in Florida but is not in the family photo posted online.
Thank you very much, Jeff. It is a Great Honor to have your Endorsement. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Speaking with NewsNation, Walz said it “wasn’t my intent” to draw the attention and influence voters.
“It wasn’t our intent as a family, to put something out there to influence the general public,” Jeff Walz said.
“I was getting a lot of feedback from my friends, old acquaintances, thinking that I was feeling the same way that my brother did on the issues, and I was trying to clarify that just to friends,” he continued. “I used Facebook, which wasn’t the right platform to do that. But I will say, I don’t agree with his policies.”
