Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko responds to Candace Owens and Tucker’s war stance: ‘Blood is on your hands’

Absolutism appeared to be the prevalent argument as famed Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko punched back at figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens claiming complicity as he stated, “blood is on your hands too.”

In an appearance on Newsmax TV’s “The Balance,” Klitschko joined host Eric Bolling to discuss the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. The younger brother of Vitali Klitschko, mayor of Kyiv, Ukraine, brought up the difference in the motivations behind the opposing forces while assuring Bolling his nation would be victorious.

“We’re going to win this war. We’re going to defend our country, our homes, our families and our children,” the boxer declared after explaining the Russians had no such cause to rally for as they are merely following orders.

Invoking the Ukrainian national anthem that reads in part, “our enemies will perish, like dew in the morning sun, and we too shall rule, brothers, in our own land,” Klitschko stated, “Ukraine is a free nation and we will stand with it.”

The rallying cry for freedom moved Bolling to opine on what he called, “a small group that believes that what’s happening in Ukraine is not the United States’ problem. There’s some very popular television host, Tucker Carlson…”

“…Candace Owens as well,” Bolling went on. “Conservatives who typically, I don’t know why they’re not supporting you and Ukraine, but they’re not. What do you say to those people?”

“If you passively observe what is going on, and we do share the same principles of freedom and democratic principles, like the United States, like the Western world, so to speak,” the boxer expressed. “If you are passively observing, you are part of this invasion, blood is on your hands, too.”

“If you still have business and trade with Russia, and you don’t isolate Russia economically,” he continued, “you’re bringing bullets and rockets into the Russian army’s hands that kills today the innocent.”

The accusations levied against Carlson and Owens are similar to the mudslinging by corporate media outlets that accuses anyone who does not vehemently support the “any means necessary” approach to stop the Russian invasion of Ukraine of being a “Putin-puppet” or supporter of his aggression.

Owens and Carlson have especially taken heat for this as they have remained outspoken against the failures of President Joe Biden’s administration that led up to the war and the government’s complicity in the invasion.

For example, prior to Russian forces advancing into Ukraine, Owens stated that NATO, at the behest of the United States, was guilty of the antagonizing encroachment that compelled a response from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“And spare me your ‘defending Russia’ nonsense,” she quickly added against detractors. “Remaining ignorant regarding grand scale politics which benefit NO AMERICANS other than the elites and their business interests in the region, plus the willingness to kill American sons and daughters to do it, is sickening.”

Owens would likely lump Klitschko into the category of “media mockingbirds” that she referred to as propagandists to spread messaging to support the narrative that our “democracy is at risk.”

While Bolling claimed that two-thirds of the American people support Ukraine, he may have oversimplified that statement to support an argument against contrarian views. While that percentage may be indicative of Americans who #StandWithUkraine, a new poll suggests the majority don’t want military involvement.

According to a March 24 Trafalgar Group poll that asked “How willing are you to risk the lives of America’s young people to enforce a ‘no-fly zone’ or peacekeeping mission in Ukraine?” only 7.5 percent answered strongly in the affirmative.

In fact, two-thirds demonstrably refuted Bolling’s claims saying they were “not very willing” or “not willing at all” and just over a quarter of respondents felt they might support such action.
