Watch Freedom Caucus chairman destroy reporter who claims impeachment is political ‘revenge’

Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) gave a reporter an earful on Tuesday after accusing Republicans of conducting political “revenge” by opening an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s business dealings.

The exchange came during a Freedom Caucus press conference on the steps of the US Capitol following Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) announcing the impeachment inquiry into Biden’s actions.

At the press conference, Perry laid out the evidence that the House Republicans have accumulated and explained it is the basis for the impeachment inquiry.

“What actual evidence do you have as opposed to allegations to show to the American public that would merit an actual impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden and prove that today isn’t just about some of you [inaudible]?” asked an off-camera reporter with a British accent.

“Oh, I don’t know…” Perry interjected.

The reporter continued by suggesting that McCarthy was enacting “political revenge for the impeachments of Donald Trump.”

This isn’t about political revenge. We have the bank accounts we can see, ma’am,” Perry clapped back, visibly getting angry. “You can see that the homes that the Bidens own can’t be afforded on a congressional or Senate salary. You also understand that it’s not normal for family members to receive millions of dollars from overseas interests. Those things aren’t normal.”

He was just getting warmed up and schooled the leftist reporter epically.

“That’s not normal to have 20 shell companies, these things are not normal,” Perry added. “And it alludes to not only just widespread corruption, but money laundering, if not influence peddling itself and we also have the president, the vice president at the time, on record saying that the prosecutor was fired. ‘Well, son of a b***! The prosecutor was fired,’ right? Because the prosecutor was going after the company that his son was working on.”

“That’s what we have. If you can’t see that. If you want, if you are that blind, I’ll turn it over to the attorneys,” Perry said, showing his disgust as he walked away from the podium.

The reporter falsely contended that “the American people can’t see that, they think it’s political revenge.”

Perry blasted the reporter over the accusation, “It’s because you don’t report on it!”

He was also asked during the press briefing about whether the impeachment inquiry would affect the appropriations process.

“We can walk and chew gum at the same time. If the speaker is going to use the spending agreement as leverage, the American people will learn that’s the case. I don’t think it would be appropriate,” he remarked.

Perry was followed by Republican Rep. Dan Bishop of North Carolina, who asserted that Biden’s conduct was a violation of federal laws regarding foreign activities.

“If you were a federal prosecutor, how can you not see a FARA violation? This would [also] be a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violation,” Bishop claimed.

“When we come from the Durham Report, it’s not that you have to prove the case. There’s not been a single subpoena to a Joe Biden or Hunter Biden or a Biden family bank account. Until an impeachment inquiry begins, we won’t have jurisdiction to do that,” he pointed out.

After Bishop was finished, Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia told those in attendance, “I invite you to go to clyde.house.gov/bidencrimefamily. You can take a look at the evidence there. If you read through that, I think you’ll be convinced.”
