The White House lashed out at House Oversight and Accountability Committee chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) on the eve of a scheduled press conference during which GOP lawmakers are set to reveal details on the probe into the Biden family’s shady foreign business dealings, decrying the legitimate scrutiny of President Joe Biden and his clan and accusing the congressman of having ulterior motives.
In a memo by White House spokesperson Ian Sams that was provided to Fox News Digital, the regime blasted the “evidence-free, politically-motivated” investigation and claimed that Comer’s “absurd innuendo ignores reality.”
“House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is loudly and proudly broadcasting a press conference today to continue his long pattern of making absurd claims that President Biden has made governing decisions not in the interest of America, but of the Chinese Communist Party, using baseless claims, personal attacks, and innuendo to try to score political points,” wrote Sams.
Sams also attacked Comer’s credibility, accusing him of hiding information from the public and attempting a bait and switch by accusing Republicans of focusing on a “political stunt” instead of engaging in negotiations on the debt ceiling.

“Congressman Comer has a history of playing fast and loose with the facts and spreading baseless innuendo while refusing to conduct his so-called ‘investigations’ with legitimacy,” Sams said. “He has hidden information from the public to selectively leak and promote his own hand-picked narratives as part of his overall effort to lob personal attacks at the President and his family.”
“Instead of staging yet another political stunt, Chairman Comer and House Republicans should do their job, avoid default without conditions, and prevent a devastating economic crash that would cost millions of Americans their jobs,” he added.
Comer appeared on Fox News on Tuesday night where he told host Jesse Watters that Americans will be presented with evidence that shows wire transfers from the nation’s global adversaries into “a web of LLC’s that were owned or controlled by the Bidens, and then those transfers were made back into the Biden family accounts.”

“I have looked, I have read, our staff has poured over it, we have talked to associates of Hunter Biden, people that were involved in some of these shady business schemes and I have yet to determine one credible business,” Comer told Watters. “It appears to me, Jesse, the businesses were shell companies set up to launder money from foreign nationals into the Biden family’s back pocket.”
“That’s what it appears to me. But, the Bidens will obviously, after tomorrow, after we release this information, that we’ve been able to gather at a really rapid pace in less than 100 days of subpoena power, and they’ll have an opportunity to explain themselves,” he continued. “But I can tell you, Jesse, they’re gonna have a lot of explaining to do. Especially to the hard-working tax-paying Americans who worked over 40 hours a week and struggled to pay their bills, and then they are going to see that the Biden family, the entire family have been putting millions and millions of dollars in their back pockets from our enemies around the world so I think they’re gonna have a lot of explaining to do.”
Comer’s press conference is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning and will be live-streamed.
