Womp, womp…nationwide walkout draws thousands instead of millions

Scheduled mass protests drew “thousands” instead of millions as “ungovernable” leftists walked off the job and out of schools in sparse, sanctioned gatherings.

While President Donald Trump addressed the press from the White House on Tuesday, handing out packets with a list of accomplishments representing each day of his second term’s first year, an attempt to demonstrate against his “regime” en masse took place in scattered locations across the nation. Despite the tough talk and propaganda messaging, even the organizer’s own posts documenting the protest depicted an anemic turnout.

“One Year into Trump’s second regime, we face an escalating fascist threat: ICE raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, families torn apart, attacks on our trans siblings, mass surveillance, and terror used to keep us silent. It is time for our communities to escalate as well,” detailed the Women’s March website as gatherings had been planned in California, Georgia, Maryland, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.

Images shared by the organization from New York, Minnesota, and Washington, D.C. touted, “This is what fighting fascism looks like,” as only handfuls gathered at the intersection of gender ideology, open borders support, and a socialist agenda with official signage.

“A free America begins the moment we refuse to cooperate. This is not a request. This is a rupture. This is a protest and a promise. In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable,” the event description continued as, in Virginia, Loudon Now reported, “Principals of some schools notified parents ahead of time via email to say they would be providing supervision for the protests and would ‘provide a safe space for students to exercise their freedom of expression.’ Media were not allowed on campus during the protests.”

As Rob Hayes said, reporting for ABC 7 in Los Angeles, “Several dozen people packed the steps of City Hall here earlier this afternoon.”

While much of the messaging was akin to the “No Kings” protests held last year, which included demonstrations amid the Democratic Party’s record-breaking government shutdown, it appeared the appetite for anarchic assemblies has dwindled — or the dollars doled out to put on such events have dried up.

Whatever the case may be, as the Women’s March dutifully carried on with plans for additional walkouts, including one on Friday for students in New York City, mockery that had begun with the demands for abortion access, DEI indoctrination in schools, and acceptance of the green agenda intensified with the lackluster turnout.

“Democrat activist groups organized a national ‘Free America Walkout’ today to protest the anniversary of Trump’s inauguration. They expected 10 million participants. 43,000 signed up, and only 6,000 participated. Turns out you can’t walk out of a job when you’re unemployed,” wrote one user on X as another wondered, “Has protest fatigue officially hit Los Angeles? Organizers for the latest TDS fueled temper tantrum, the ‘Free America Walkout’ can barely get a couple of hundred people to march against fascism, ICE, and all other things President Trump related.”
