11-year-old Florida student arrested after boasting about arsenal of weapons, ‘kill list’

An 11-year-old Florida student got a big surprise after he showed classmates a picture of his arsenal of weapons and bragged about a “kill list” of targets at two different schools.

Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli found out the hard way that Florida doesn’t play around when it comes to school shootings when he was arrested, cuffed, and perp-walked by police who locked him up and then posted the video to social media.

“As promised, we just arrested a Creekside Middle School student who made threats to commit a school shooting at Creekside or Silver Sands Middle School. He had written a list of names and targets. He says it was all a joke,” Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said in a post to Facebook on Monday.

The Port Orange youngster wasn’t laughing when his “joke” ended up with him being taken into custody and charged with a felony for making a written threat of a mass shooting.

“P.S. I can and will release the names and photos of juveniles who are committing these felonies, threatening our students, disrupting our schools, and consuming law enforcement resources,” Chitwood added.

“Detectives were alerted via a tip to Fortify Florida that Carlo had made threats to conduct a shooting and shown off several weapons in a video chat. He also had a written list of people he claimed he would kill,” the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

During a search of Dorelli’s room, detectives discovered “a large amount” of airsoft rifles, pistols, fake ammo, knives, swords, and assorted other weapons, the Sheriff’s Office said. The “kill list” was also found.

The middle schooler’s arrest came days after Sheriff Chitwood vowed to “perp walk” kids who make prank threats following the deadly shooting at a Georgia high school earlier this month.

“Starting Monday, your little cherub, we’re going to start publishing his name, and we’re going to start perp walks with them when we take them into custody,” Chitwood said in a video posted to Facebook last week. “And we’re going to show pictures of you, the parents because you don’t want to raise your kid; Sheriff Chitwood is going to raise him.”

“Chitwood said 54 tips had come about shooting threats. All of them were deemed bogus, he said, adding that the hoax cost more than $20,000 in resource response,” WESH reported.

“Makes you not want to send your kids to school,” Steven Alkire, a Creekside Middle School parent told the outlet.” It really does. And, you know, unfortunately, you can’t stay home, can’t homeschool them. So, you know, we’re sort of forced to send them to school.”

“It’s pretty scary,” Alkire added. “Definitely scary. And with everything that’s going on in this country, you know, it really makes you nervous.”

“Every time we make an arrest, your kid’s photo is going to be put out there…We’re gonna come and get you. We’re going to put you out for public embarrassment,” Chitwood said at a press conference last week when talking about the phony tips, according to the New York Post.

“For the little bastards out there who think this is funny, ha ha ha, you want to get on social media: You ain’t that smart… You’re getting caught,” the sheriff said.
