BBC director OUT after outlet’s J6 fakery about Trump, POTUS reacts

The latest development at the “dying” BBC found President Donald Trump reacting to the departure of some “very dishonest people” alleged to have sought to influence the 2024 presidential election.

It’s often said that those wishing to get a glimpse at where the United States is heading, if it continues riding the slippery slope of the left, need only peek across the pond at what’s going on in Europe. Over the weekend, however, at least one example of a shift occurred when BBC Director General Tim Davie and the CEO of News, Deborah Turness, resigned after the network aired spliced Jan. 6, 2021, footage of Trump that reportedly “materially misled” the public.

Reacting to the departures days after a dossier was leaked, leveling the accusations at the BBC, Trump took to Truth Social to state, “The TOP people in the BBC, including TIM DAVIE, the BOSS, are all quitting/FIRED, because they were caught ‘doctoring’ my very good (PERFECT!) speech of January 6th.”

“Thank you to the Telegraph for exposing these Corrupt ‘Journalists.’ These are very dishonest people who tried to step on the scales of a Presidential Election. On top of everything else, they are from a Foreign Country, one that many consider our Number One Ally. What a terrible thing for Democracy!” added the president as his message was shared on X by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt with the caption, “@BBCNews is dying because they are anti-Trump Fake News. Everyone should watch @GBNEWS!”

The reported dossier detailed, “The spliced together version of Trump’s comments aired by Panorama made it seem that he said: ‘We’re gonna walk down to the Capitol and I’ll be with you and we’ll fight. We fight like hell, and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not gonna have a country anymore.”

Regarding his decision to leave after 20 years, Davie glossed over the spliced Jan. 6 footage in his statement that read in part, “Like all public organisations, the BBC is not perfect, and we must always be open, transparent and accountable. While not being the only reason, the current debate around BBC News has understandably contributed to my decision.”

He also touched on the current “febrile times” as he concluded, “Overall, the BBC is delivering well, but there have been some mistakes made and as Director-General I have to take ultimate responsibility.”

Likewise, a statement from Turness expressed, “While mistakes have been made, I want to be absolutely clear, recent allegations that BBC News is institutionally biased are wrong.”

That claim followed the BBC’s decision to punish an anchor who bucked the teleprompter’s call for her to report on “pregnant people” by correcting the record to “women.”

Beyond the X post, Leavitt made her own statement on the Jan. 6 footage that aired before the 2024 presidential election and said, “This purposefully dishonest, selectively edited clip by the BBC is further evidence that they are total, 100% fake news that should no longer be worth the time on the television screens of the great people of the United Kingdom.”

“Every time I travel to the United Kingdom with President Trump and am forced to watch the BBC in our hotel rooms, it ruins my day listening to their blatant propaganda and lies about the president of the United States and all that he’s doing to make America better and the world a safer place,” the press secretary went on.

Speaking beyond the moment toward a course correction for the BBC and steering the nation away from its leftist descent, Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage said, “Davie and Turness’ going must be the start of wholesale change.”

“The government needs to appoint somebody with a record of coming in and turning companies and their cultures around. Preferably, it would be someone coming in from the private sector who has run a forward-facing business and understands PR,” added the leader, who suggested, “This is the BBC’s last chance. IF they don’t get this right, there will be vast numbers of people refusing to pay the licence fee.”
