A butt naked madman attacked the wrong Vietnam veteran when he broke into a California woman’s San Fernando Valley home, fracturing the legs of the senior citizen who rushed to help in a violent encounter that ended with a trip to the morgue.
In the Friday incident that made national headlines, the deranged trespasser showed up at the residence located on the 4500 block of Tujunga Avenue in Studio City at around 7:10 a.m.
The perp was caught on surveillance video after he shucked his laundry on the sidewalk and broke into the front of the home, terrifying the female resident, who began screaming and telling him to leave before running out. The intruder was then confronted by the 79-year-old war vet, who told the suspect that he had a gun.

Instead of heeding the warning, the nude lunatic grabbed the vet, picked him and body slammed him onto the ground, badly injuring him. It was a decision that he would soon regret as the elderly victim defended himself by opening fire, killing the attacker.
“The 79-year-old man tells the suspect to leave, tells him I have a gun and I will shoot you. The suspect grabs the 79-year-old man, lifts him, throws him on the ground, and that’s where the 79-year-old man suffered two broken legs,” LAPD Capt. Warner Castillo said.
“The suspect got shot one time and the suspect still approached the 79-year-old, shot the suspect again, killing him,” according to police, who reported the assailant was shot multiple times.
Police arrived at the scene to find the naked man dead. The elderly veteran, whose name is George, was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery, according to Los Angeles Fox News affiliate FOX 11.
“Hopefully, he makes it out of here without being in a wheelchair for the rest of his life,” Castillo told reporters.
“I heard commotion, like a lady yelling,” one witness told ABC 7. “Then I looked over and it was a naked guy. At first, I thought it was just like, maybe it’s a house fire. Like, why is he out here naked?
“There was an older guy in the home,” added the witness, who declined to be named. “The naked guy was walking through their gate, and shots were fired. I heard one shot. Then I looked over, and the naked guy was on the ground. The older guy was on the ground and shot him two more times.”
The crazed man was seen trying to break into other homes before the fatal incident, a neighborhood resident told police.
“He is a very nice man. He is very sweet, very kind, gentle,” a neighbor said of George, KLTV reported. “To hear he shot somebody would be out of self-defense.”
“I think it’s a textbook example of self-defense, and I really, really hope he does not face charges,” the injured vet’s neighbor, Betsy Weiss, told CBS News.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman will determine whether the elderly victim will be charged. The name of the deceased suspect has not been released.
