The Biden administration is desperately trying to claim the $6 billion in unfrozen Iranian assets had nothing to do with the terror attack on Israel, but critics are rushing out of the woodwork to prove them wrong.
“Not a single cent from these funds has been spent, and when it is spent, it can only be spent on things like food and medicine for the Iranian people,” National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson tweeted Saturday afternoon.
She went on to accuse anyone saying otherwise of spewing “disinformation.”
Look:
I can’t comment on 2024 because of the Hatch Act. But I can clarify the facts: Not a single cent from these funds has been spent, and when it is spent, it can only be spent on things like food and medicine for the Iranian people.

These funds have absolutely nothing to do with the horrific attacks today and this is not the time to spread disinformation.

Critics were left wholly unimpressed with Watson’s argument, especially in light ofĀ all the overwhelming counterevidence.
Counterevidence like Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s own words. Last month he explicitly said the rogue regime will spend the $6 billion in assets “wherever we need it.”
“This money belongs to the Iranian people, the Iranian government, so the Islamic Republic of Iran will decide what to do with this money,” he added, making it clear that the Biden administration’s claim that the money “can only be spent on things like food and medicine” is nonsense.

Share this so there is no confusion about the $6 billion that Biden just unfroze for Iran.
Our government is now claiming that it was only to be used for humanitarian purposes.

The counterevidence also includes the words of Biden administration official John Kirby, who on Sept. 13th outright admitted it’s a possibility that Iran may use the $6 billion to fund terrorism.
Appearing on CNN, he was asked the following question by Wolf Blitzer: “You insist the Iranian regime won’t touch the $6 billion in Iranian funds being unfrozen. But isn’t it true that this frees Iran up to spend more on other, more nefarious goals like supporting terrorism and boosting its nuclear program?”
Kirby replied with the following:Ā “Well, to the degree that they continue destabilizing activities — I can’t predict what they’ll do going forward here — but we already have pressure in place on Iran, both through sanctions and through our military presence in the Gulf Region. We won’t hesitate to take additional actions as we see further destabilizing activities by Iran.”

But it’s not just the money to Iran that’s a concern. So is money that the Biden administration previously gave to the Palestinians.
“The Biden administration pushed through plans to distribute hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer aid to the Palestinians despite internal assessments that those plans could boost the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas,” the Washington Free Beacon reported in August.
According to the Beacon, State Department officials shared their concerns about the money in “private communications” sent in 2021.
“We assess there is a high risk Hamas could potentially derive indirect, unintentional benefit from U.S. assistance to Gaza. There is less but still some risk U.S. assistance would benefit other designated groups,” one of the communications, a “draft sanctions exemption request,” reads.
Yet the Biden administration dispersed the money anyway.

You gave them $6 billion to spend on food and medicine. That freed up $6 billion for them to fund acts of terror.

Its simple , If I allocate you $7 specifically for humanitarian aid, it essentially releases another $7 that could potentially be directed to terrorism,

Yāall gave Iran access to $6 BILLION ā announced on September 11th this year no less ā Iran then turned around and funded this. You can pretend that $6B didnāt fund this but it allowed Iran the breathing room to divert funds to terror. You are complicit!

This is primary school math.
I have 40 dollars to spent on food and medicine this week.
Sam gives my 40 dollars that I can only spent on food and medicine. If I spend 40 dollars on bullets with the money I had before, can I still afford food and medicine?
Yes.
