President Joe Biden celebrated his 81st birthday in grand style Monday, serving up a major blunder when he mixed up his pop divas at the annual White House turkey pardoning ceremony, before joking about how hot it is in Brazil after a Taylor Swift fan died during a weekend concert there.
And he put a bow on his special day with a bonfire at the White House.
At least, that was the Republican National Committee’s take on Biden’s birthday cake, as seen in its response to a photo of the geriatric president sitting before a cake — the glare of the lit candles almost obscuring his presence.
“Biden has bonfire in the White House to celebrate his 81st birthday,” tweeted RNC Research

The RNC further celebrated President Biden’s 81st trip around the sun by declaring him “one of the worst presidents in American history.”

Biden shared the photo online as well while plugging Threads, the new social media platform created by Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg — which should remove any questions about the political leanings of the site.
“I turned 81 and all I got was a new social platform! Thanks for the well-wishes, folks. And to the workers at the birthday candle factory, I hope your union got you overtime,” the president quipped, understanding that there’s no running from the fact that he is very old.

On Facebook, he pushed it even further: “Thanks for the birthday well-wishes today, everyone. Turns out on your 146th birthday, you run out of space for candles!”
But at least Biden received a warm birthday greeting from Vice President Kamala Harris — remember her? — who dug out of her hole of irrelevancy to tweet: “Wishing a happy birthday to President Biden — a leader of courage and compassion, a leader of strength and skill, and a leader who continues to fight for the American people.”

The four-alarm fire that was Biden’s birthday cake proved to be meme heaven for social media users… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story as seen on X:
