Biden’s disoriented behavior on global stage brings new meaning to ‘watch me’ challenge

President Joe Biden got lost again — this time only days after bragging to the media about his supposedly high “energy level” and “mental acuity.”

He got lost after delivering a speech at the Global Fund’s Seven Replenishment Conference in New York City.

Watch:

FYI, the Global Fund “is a worldwide movement to defeat HIV, TB and malaria and ensure a healthier, safer, more equitable future for all.”

“We raise and invest US$4 billion a year to fight the deadliest infectious diseases, challenge the injustice that fuels them and strengthen health systems in more than 100 countries. We unite world leaders, communities, civil society, health workers and the private sector to find out what works and take it to scale – so the world makes more progress, more rapidly,” the group’s very “woke” mission statement reads.

After the president finished delivering his speech at the Global Fund conference, he began walking off the stage but then suddenly froze in confusion and started looking around for direction from others.

From there, he took a few more steps off the stage but then froze again in bewilderment as the event’s moderator suddenly began thanking him for his speech.

The president then turned around and stood there staring at the moderator for a couple seconds, until something finally clicked in his brain and he began walking off the stage, seemingly for real this time.

Except once again he stopped mid-step a couple second later and began looking around the room in confusion.

This additional example — one of many — of him getting lost was a bit too much for some to bear:

The president got lost only days after a “60 Minutes” interview in which he bragged about his “energy level” and “mental acuity.”

The relevant portion of the interview began with interviewer Scott Pelley pointing out to the president that he’s “the oldest president ever.”

“Pretty good shape, huh?” the president confidently replied.

Pelley then asked for his take on criticism that he isn’t fit for the job of president. In response, Biden delivered a rambling, barely coherent rant about the “proof of the pudding.”

“Watch me. And honest to God, that’s all I think. Watch me. If you think I don’t have the energy level or the mental acuity, then, you know, that’s one thing. It’s another thing, you just watch and– and, you know, keep my schedule. Do what I’m doing. I– I think that– you know– I don’t– when I sit down with our NATO allies and keep ’em together, I don’t have ’em saying, ‘Wait a minute, w– how– how old are you? What are you– what say?'” he said.

“You know, I mean, it’s a matter of, you know, that old expression: The proof of the pudding’s in the eating. I mean, I– I– I respect the fact that people would say, you know, ‘You’re old.’ And– but I think it relates to — how much energy you have, and whether or not the job you’re doing is one consistent with what any person of any age would be able to do.”

Pelley then asked the president, “How would you say your mental focus is?”

“Oh, it’s focused,” the perpetually lost president replied.

He continued, “I’d say it’s– I think it’s– I– I haven’t– look, I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself, my own head, the number of years. I no more think of myself as being as old as I am than fly. I mean, it’s just not– I haven’t– observed anything in terms of– there’s not things I don’t do now that I did before, whether it’s physical, or mental, or anything else.”

The claims provoked widespread disbelief and mockery, in part because they were so poorly delivered and barely made any sense:
