Boston councilwoman plays bigshot with Tom Homan who promises to ‘bring hell’ to her defiant town

A Boston councilwoman ridiculed ‘Border Czar’ Tom Homan and his “laughable” threat to implement President Donald Trump’s border policy.

Homan vowed to bring hell to the Massachusetts town during remarks he made at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and Councilwoman Sharon Durkan responded in a social media post, mocking Homan’s service as a police officer in New York in the 1980s.

“You said you doubled down on not helping the law enforcement officers of ICE. I’m coming to Boston, and I’m bringing hell with me,” Homan said at CPAC as he reacted to Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox vowing to uphold the city’s sanctuary policy.

“I looked at the numbers this morning… I stopped counting at nine. Nine child rapists that were in jail in Massachusetts, but rather than honoring an ICE detainer, you released them back into the street,” Homan continued.

“You’re not a police commissioner,” Homan said. “Take that badge off your chest. Put it in the desk drawer. Because you became a politician. You forgot what it’s like to be a cop.”

“Laughable that someone who spent their career policing a town smaller than a Fenway Park crowd thinks they can lecture Boston on public safety,” Durkan reacted in a post on X.

“Commissioner Michael Cox serves with distinction and earns trust with integrity,” the member of the Boston City Council continued. “Tom Homan should know, we don’t scare easy.”

MS-13 gang members and other criminal migrants have been arrested recently under the direction of the Boston office of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). An illegal alien from Guatemala was arrested in Massachusetts earlier this month. He had previously been charged with three counts of forcible rape of a child and three counts of aggravated rape of a child.

Boston’s police commissioner recently claimed the city “doesn’t enforce detainers” filed by ICE, citing Massachusetts law.

“We just don’t do that,” Cox told WCVB’s “On the Record” show. “We don’t enforce civil detainers regarding federal immigration law. It’s defined here in the state, and that’s just how it works.”

Durkan’s attack on Homan was met with brutal backlash on social media.
