Boston mayor’s office slammed for promoting gross ‘Trans Period Pride’ event

Democrat Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement is being slammed over the promotion of a gross Trans Period Pride event at a public library.

The June 17 event, which is set to be held at the Copley branch of the Boston Public Library, will feature a discussion of “menstrual equity” as well as what it describes as “transgender experiences with menstruation.”

A Tuesday social media post includes images of a pink tampon and a blue menstrual pad, along with notice that it was supported by the mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement.

“Join MASS NOW and the MA Trans Political Coalition for a consciousness-raising discussion on menstrual equity and the experiences of trans menstruators,” the announcement states.

“Catered dinner and free period underwear provided to all attendees,” it adds, offering freebies to those who show up.

In addition to the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Advancement, the event is also being sponsored by the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth (BAGLY), MASS NOW and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition.

“The Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement develops policies, community-oriented programming, and provides resources for the City’s diverse LGBTQIA2S+ community,” the office’s website reads, mixing in a veritable can of alphabet soup.

Social media users reacted to the event and its “consciousness raising conversation around transgender experiences with menstruation.”

One Instagram commenter stated, “This cannot be real…….” With another writing “Yall have lost your minds.”

The mayor’s office is gearing up for “Pride Month” – which normal people identify as June – with a list of events including the Boston Dyke March on June 5th.

“The Boston Dyke March believes in anti-capitalist, intersectional gender liberation and welcomes all who feel the same. The March is a grassroots Pride event that is Mask Required, ASL interpreted, wheelchair, stroller, and scooter accessible,” organizers state on the city of Boston’s official website.

“Wu has denied reports in the past that city funds were used to support a program offering LGBTQ migrants up to $500 in “wellness” perks, after a local advocacy group advertised the benefits and later scaled back its description amid backlash,” according to Fox News.
